If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant in the North Shore of Nassau County, I highly recommend Tocolo Cantina. The food was fresh and delicious, margaritas were tasty and creative, and most of all, the staff was VERY friendly and attentive!

Always great eating here but last night I found the food, drinks and service exceptional ! I do not know if the kitchen has changed hands since our last visit but the enchiladas and yuca fries were delicious! They need to bring back the Queso Fundido con Chorizo. I highly recommend the Chocolate Chile old fashioned. Phoebe was an excellent server and all her back up help was great as well!

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Food is average, nothing exceptional for the price point.

Had a great experience here- great service and authentic atmosphere! Food is pretty good- came with a large party for Mother’s Day and mostly got tacos and quesadillas.

I had been to their other location in Garden City and was pleased. Decided to check out their Glen Cove location. Food and drinks were great! However, we were disappointed to see that it wasn't busy for a Friday night. Not to mention the service really wasn't great. We were forgotten about, had to ask for drink and water refills. They rushed us out of the restaurant 15 minutes before closing, and didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert before giving us the check. I think they close at 10, but a restaurant would not rush you out. Very disappointed in the service of this place. I won't be coming back. Food was good though. Might be better for takeout.

Wanted to love this place but sadly I can’t. The first time was a great experience. I have celiac and so when I visit a restaurant for the first time I like to speak with the manager. She was very personable and food was good and safe. Next time, I ordered take out. Staff was totally different (which was fine, but surprising) and while waiting, a little girl who was eating vomited all over the place. Unsure why but seen that at a restaurant before. My appetite was a bit ruined so only ate a small amount, but the food didn’t taste great. The last time, went around brunch time. Same manager as the 2nd time. The brunch menu listed all items that could be made gluten free. My server didn’t understand my needs and didn’t seem to have patience so I wanted to order with a manager and double check that ALL the items listed gluten free could actually be made gluten free. He had no idea so had to go to the back and ask. Less than half could actually be made gluten free. that didn’t sit well with me so I stuck with my usual. Right before it came, I took a gluten digest supplement in case. Upon eating it, it didn’t taste like it did the other two times. Upon letting the manager know this, he tried opening the taco with his bare hands and sending it to the back. Then he brought it back and said it was fine. I got so sick after, and could barely function for a few days and had to miss work. I was told the owner has celiac, so I am truly saddened that the staff doesn’t treat the customers seriously. I never like to leave negative reviews but feel the need to inform others so that they won’t get sick like I did. It’s great when restaurants have gluten free options and advertise as such, but it’s more important to ensure that it is safely prepared. Cute atmosphere, but will not be back.

Top Shelf margaritas. Food very fresh including the chips. Outside dining. You can bring your well behaved pooch.
