What are nice and quaint eatery for authentic Chinese food... Hot Pot, pork and cabbage dumplings, sweet battered shrimp with Asian mayo---my god, I stuffed myself. Everything was so tasty and satisfying, I even ended up purchasing a $100 gift certificate to pass on to my neighbors--they're really going to love this place!!

We always come for a batch of soupy dumplings and haven’t been disappointed yet. The lunch specials are very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are perfect for a meal. I’d definitely recommend coming in for lunch for their lunch specials.

Let me tell you, and trust my word on this one; this place is a rare find, and it is nothing less than superb. And, I’m not one who is easily impressed by restaurants.

My daughter and son in law took myself and my wife to Zouji Dumpling House on Mother’s Day for the first time. My wife is Chinese and we have lived in Asia for many years and of course have eaten plenty of good Chinese food. Very hard to impress either one of us, especially my wife, who is also a fine Chinese chef.

But, we were both shocked by the incredible delicious quality of all our dishes here. My wife is finishing off the leftovers as I write this, after just leaving the restaurant. The talk in the car ride home was utter excitement over a truly great eating experience.

We had the braised lobster, spicy sautéed string beans, (best on the planet) sautéed greens, spicy tofu, stewed beef, soup dumplings. Each dish outdid the next.

The appetizer of fresh roasted salted peanuts really got my taste buds perking, and refreshing jasmine tea throughout. And, I am known to have a bad stomach, but not after this hearty meal. It digested clean and happy. As they say, “You don’t have to be hungry to enjoy food here.” If you’re not hungry, the tantalizing tastes will turn your appetite ravishing.

The restaurant atmosphere is quaint, humble, Chinese village-like in demeanor, with very interesting hand-painted Chinese art all around, and boasts a profound coziness. The wait staff is very efficient, pleasant and quite serious about serving your dishes properly with good manners.

Don’t miss this one!!!

Fantastic flavors. Great service . I’ve been here 3 times and already planning my next trip . The beef noodles I had were tasty. Would love to have more beef , but I will probably add shrimp and beef to my next order . That is my favorite dish. The way the vegetables and the flavors mix is outstanding. The dumplings and pot stickers are out of this world . You need to try this place . I can’t wait to try their lunch menu and their scallion pancake is just such a comfort food . The soups are fantastic as well. I can’t wait to go back .

Left after waiting 15 min because server never came to take our oder despite making eye contact with me when I was calling for the server. Mind you there was only three other tables at the time. They prioritize larger groups.

My family and I have been looking for a decent Chinese food restaurant since moving back to LI from the city.
We finally got the chance to check out Zouji Dumpling House and they did NOT disappoint. Food was excellent, best sautéed pea leaves and beef dumplings we’ve had in a long time. Mapo tofu and scallion pancakes were also delicious. We ordered soooo much food and it only cost us $80. Super chill atmosphere inside, very kid friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

I originally came here for the roast duck. I called in advance to make a reservation. It took more than an hour from the time I called to the time when the dish was served. A portion of roast duck was served. There were no live slices, and the skin and meat were completely separated. The meat was piled on the bottom and on top. Pi, I asked the waiter why there were no on-site movies. The answer he gave was that they no longer provide on-site movies. If necessary, please inform in advance. When asked why all the meat is separated from the skin, the answer was that this is the authentic method of slicing the duck skin in Quanjude, Beijing. The duck skin can be dipped in white sugar (the key point is that I was not provided with white sugar). Anyway, if I want to order roast duck, I have to tell me in advance how to slice it and who will slice it and where. The key is that no one told me when I called! A reminder to friends who want to go to his house to eat roast duck, so as not to be disappointed like me without notifying the demand in advance!
