The food is absolutely stellar. One of my favorite German restaurants. From the authentic layout to the service. All of it is top notch. I recommend this German restaurant to anyone. One of the last bastions of an old German establishment. My favorite is the pork shank or beef rib with horseradish sauce on the Friday specials. 👏👏

Great German food. With an old world atmosphere. The workers are wonderful and explain anything on the menu including what type of beer they serve. The food is excellent. Try the Jaeger schnitzel. And for desert the apple strudel is a good choice.

We stopped into Zum Stammtisch before the St. John’s basketball game. We drove all the way from Ct and it was worth the 2 hour drive. We were greeted and sat right away at a lovely corner table. We shared the Kasespatzel for an appy, I had the sauerbraten and hubby had jagerschnitzel. Apple strudel a la mode for dessert. Plenty of delicious food, great service. Our waitress Megyn was excellent - great suggestions and very attentive.
