Buono Notte Café and Catering

Looking forward to going back! We had a wonderful meal last night. It was our first time eating at Buono Notte. We were looking for authentic Italian food and we were not disappointed. It was a slow Tuesday evening, which made the experience more intimate. We enjoyed chatting with our server, Lisa.
My husband, a vegetarian, had the pasta primavera with house made fusilli and a marinara sauce. I selected the white clam sauce with angel hair pasta from the specials menu. My husband had a lovely Cabernet and I had a wonderful Chianti. From the house made salad dressings, to the wines, to our entrees we were very pleased and impressed! The entrees were fresh and hot! The food was a close second to the variety of foods we have enjoyed all across Italy.
We will be going back again, and we live nearly an hour away. Worth the drive!

as a transplanted NYC Italian American, this is the best Italian food in a fifty mile radius. Lived upstate 20+ years, constant lack of a good Italian joint majority of said time; no longer an issue.

A gem for sure! Loved the pasta primavera and house salad with their dressing. Attentive server was lovely. Don’t pass this up.

This was our second time dining at Buono Notte. We went with different neighbors each time and everyone had something different and everyone loved their menu choices.
We know Chef/ owner Matt locally since he was a high schooler and very proud that he has found his calling.
As someone who grew up in Brooklyn and had the good fortune to experience true Italian cooking, I can attest that Matt and crew have mastered the cuisine.

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The service was amazing. Very personable and accommodating. The food was very good and flavorful. The calamari, chicken parm and shrimp franchise were all incredible. Restaurant was very clean and the music selection was even on point! Prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality. Will definitely be back again!

This special little Italian gem is a bit small (10 tables) but it packs a great menu. I had heard about it months before dining there and finally found a great excuse when a few friends of mine were going to be passing thru Glens Falls. The appetizers were a meal in themselves but the main dinner menu was excellent. So glad I finally had the opportunity and I’ll be bringing a Bunch more friends both new and old. Small wine menu will hopefully get a boost as more and many others give this Primo Ristauarante a try. No one and I really mean No lover of Italian Food will be disappointed.

I tried to order takeout today and was really disappointed. I was literally sitting outside with my baby when I called in — the door said OPEN, but Lisa answered and told me to call back in 10 minutes because they “don’t open until 4.” Meanwhile, I watched multiple people walk in and get seated. When I asked again, she claimed they were having a “service meeting.” Instead of waiting around, I took my business elsewhere. If you’re open, you’re open. If not, maybe update the sign and be honest with customers.

While small in size, this restaurant is a big success! From the moment we arrived, service was terrific. Our waitress, Victoria was welcoming, efficient and very good. We started with the fried calamari - it was terrific, lightly battered, very flavorful and not at all chewy which is often an issue. The bread was served lightly toasted and the perfectly crusty. The olive oil and chili flavored balsamic (?) was so good. I could have just dipped bread all night! The salads were nicely presented, no discolored lettuce, and served with delicious homemade dressing. In my opinion, a homemade dressing really steps up any salad. Finally for entreees, my husband had chicken Parmesan (with a side of the tastiest sausage!) and I had a special of chicken cutlet topped with fried eggplant, spinach and red sauce. The marinara sauce is delicious. On a side note, it was nice to see a chicken cutlet Parmesan served as a full cutlet, not cut in strips the way the local restaurants serve it.

We were pleasantly full and skipped dessert but I'd love to try their rainbow cake. If their desserts are half as good as their appetizers and entrees, I'd be very happy.

As a former Long Island girl, it was so nice to have an amazing Italian dinner close to home. Wishing Buonno Notte lots of success as long as we can still get a table!!

There are so many great places to eat in GF, so glad we stopped at Buono Notte. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and we got seated right away. We got the Carbonara and meat sauce with the daily special pasta, it was truly delicious and you could tell it was fresh and prepared with care. Highly recommend!

Legit Italian food in Glens Falls! I got Carbonara Italiano to go that came with bread and salad. It was all good. A couple weeks later I had dessert and it was great. No complaints. Good vibe overall for a smaller space.

I have family in Glens Falls, and we were at the Queensberry visiting from Michigan. I ran down to your restaurant to see if four of us could get in for dinner at that point there were three open tables. The time was 520. Victoria said to call my people, have them come down( I did not have my phone with me), and our guests were not at the hotel quite yet but due any minute yet. I said we would be back at 5:30 if possible and she said yes, she would hold a table. I ran back to the Queensbury. My guest had arrived and we immediately went down to the restaurant( got there at 5:30) and All the tables were full and Victoria said “told you so !!!” Very rude. We then went over to. I believe it was called Park and Elm had an excellent excellent dinner!!

Highly recommend you give them a try. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The chicken parm was absolutely delicious. I'll be back again for sure!
