Another excellent dining experience. Lighting could be a little brighter. Food was delicious.
Ricky was our waiter and he was the best! A different wait staff person delivered our desserts and when we said "oh good it's her birthday" she went and had a candle put on her dessert. Wonderful. Food was excellent as always.
It was exactly how I expected it to be. The food was good. The atmosphere was great. I wish the portion sizes were a little bit bigger but it is what it is
My Mom and I went to Morgan Co. recently for my birthday. The staff were all very nice (we have known some of them for years). The food was excellent - my Mom said the Scallops were the best she has ever had. My Gumbo entree was fantastic. We skipped dessert (which is always exquisite) only because we had birthday cake waiting at home. We look forward to our next trip.
We left disappointed, especially given the strong recommendations we'd heard. Our entrance was through a side/front porch area that appears to be added capacity rather than intentional dining space. The porch was wrapped in heavy plastic with a loud heater running continuously, something I wouldn't want to sit in during winter, and not a great first impression. The hostess greeting was curt (“Reservation?”) and not particularly welcoming. After being seated, we waited over ten minutes before anyone acknowledged us, despite multiple staff members clearing and resetting three tables in the same small room (only about seven tables total). Our waiter was pleasant, but service overall felt unpolished. There is no gluten-free menu; we were simply told to avoid anything with noodles, which isn't especially helpful. Food was uneven. The beet salad was fresh but overdressed. The salmon was fine, but the string beans had browned ends and clearly weren't freshly prepped. The mashed parsnips lacked flavor. When we ordered a bottle of wine, it was poured without offering a taste, fortunately it was fine, but again suggested limited service training. Throughout the meal, the lights repeatedly dimmed and brightened due to apparent power supply issues, which was distracting. After spending about $210, we left unimpressed. Given Morgan & Company's reputation, this experience didn't meet expectations, and unfortunately felt like a missed opportunity.
The menu is varied and interesting. It was tough to choose! Everything was delicious, the service was great, and we had a quiet table
Great server, horrible chef, horrible owner and horrible filet. I’m not even sure where to begin as I didn’t even want to leave a review but after further thought I should. I make reservations and right away Chris our waiter was great. Attentive and happy. My girlfriend and I went for my 28th birthday and she is rounding out month 8 of pregnancy. I ordered 6 oysters and she ordered a salad. All was good. Then we ordered the Chateaubriand for two which is 122.95. Filet, shrimp, brussel sprouts, fries and green beans. Off the get go I asked Chris if this can be cooked on the darker side of medium as my girlfriend is very pregnant and I don’t want the chance of bad meat. We get it and immediately I look at it and my thought was did I order filet or steak tar tar. Chris saw my face and said if I need it recooked he can bring it back I said come back in a few and we will revisit it. The steak was very bloody, very red to the point of near purple, and to make matters even worse mush like steak tar tar. I’m not a chef like Rebekah Butters but I wouldn’t be happy platting what I platted. He brought it back and recooked some and we picked at a couple pieces and ultimately decided we were done with this pathetic excuse of filet mignon. I can think of 3-4 things of what went wrong. Bad meat, defrosted by a microwave, cooked too long at a low temp or excessive moisture. At this point we just didn’t want it and asked for it to just be taken away. I then had Chris come over again and asked him to see if we can get some of the of that specific dish comped, partial since we did enjoy the other aspects. He said he would talk to management about it. Chef Rebekah then came over to the wrong table first then came to ours. I expressed our unhappiness about the meat and meat only and complimented the other foods. She then went on this tangent about when she was pregnant her husband got a lobster and ever since then she could never eat lobster. Made no sense. She requested that we take an entire new dish home to eat and I said no, we aren’t hungry anymore. She kept insisting and to reheat it tomorrow…. Reheat filet mignon 24 hours later? Chef, excuse me? I said no we will not eat it today or tomorrow and it will go to waste. She said don’t worry about it and walked away. Chris then came back and asked us for dessert. We ordered dessert and then I said make sure she isn’t making us a replacement dinner because we don’t want it and he then said “oh she said she convinced you to take it home”. I said no, she did not. He came back 5-10 minutes later and apologized saying he tried but there wasn’t anything he could do. We were eating dessert and she brought out an entirely new Chateaubriand for two boxed up for us and before we could say a word, walked away. I got the bill to see the 9$ dessert comped but the 123$ meal we barely touched due to improper meat was still very much there. He came to take the check and I said two things. You can take this meal home or give it to whoever because like I told her I will not take it home, he said he understood. I then asked if the tips are per waiter or tip pooled, he informed me per waiter. If it was pooled I was going to leave a 0 and give him cash or Venmo. We got up and left a 123$ fillet shrimp meal on the table wrapped up to be thrown away. At this point the poor food was the least of my concern, it was the horrible inability to understand the customer and acknowledge. My own job is 100% customer facing and I could never do what she did. I truly hope at least one person heeds my advice to never go to this place.

Head chef was awful, spent 123$ on a filet mignon for two that was served like steak tar tar. I asked for the meat to be comped at to pay the other portion of that dish plus everything else and she insisted she makes us an entire new dinner. I said no, we are no longer interested as my girlfriend is 8 months and is very much over the dinner. I told her 3 times it was going to go to waste. She brought over a brand new cooked main boxed up for us to go and before we could say anything walked away. Nothing comped, paid for everything except a free 9$ dessert. I left the 123$ meal on the table boxed up for them to deal with. Chris the waiter was fantastic and tried to advocate for us, but the head chef Rebekah is very arrogant, stubborn and just cuts you off while talking. Full review was left on google that goes into a lot of detail
We had a wonderful dinner as always. We sat upstairs for the first time. Its a great little spot but all the noise from downstairs carried upstairs. It was a very busy night with two parties.
Food and service were exceptional. Ashley, our waitress, acknowledged my husband's service to the military on Veteran's Day. It was greatly appreciated. I have no reservations about recommending this restaurant to anyone who is in the Glens Falls area.

It was restaurant week in GF. Wife enjoyed her fillet tips and my rib appy and gumbo main were very tasty.
Ashley our server was awesome! It's is not her fault to food was terrible and the initial drinks were just as terrible. I expected more from resturant week and a chop chef winner from a long time ago. Maybe the chef should spend more time at the resturant and see the subpar food being served. Do better!
Got the restaurant week special, salad wasn't very good, fried chicken was made a head of time and tiny. My guests loved their food though
All three of the diners in our party had different tastes- therefore, we enjoyed a variety of wonderful dishes! From the appetizers through to dessert we were very pleased. And our main dishes were outstanding! Service was excellent-complimenting a lovely evening!
We went there for the restaurant week, food was delicious and service was great. Looking forward to come back.
