4.5 stars. Intimate bar with small plates menu. We three came primarily for dinner but enjoyed some cocktails. I had the Smoke Show ($14) with X Glenmorangie Scotch whiskey with maple smoke -which was smooth and only slightly smokey; delicious. Also ordered was Waking up in Wexford with Irish whiskey with an interesting whiskey whip- this was a sweet drink- almost like a dessert. We shared the mussels ($10) which was great. The mussels were large and meaty; we got around 17 so everyone got a good portion. The chipotle maple maple wings ($12), although well prepared was just average (would give this a miss) and portion was small . The lamb lollipops (chops, $19) were very good with an interesting accompanying mint pecan pesto. The blackened salmon ($16) was moist and the skin was crispy; the cabbage with a hint of sesame oil was a table favorite. Everyone also enjoyed the brussel sprouts with pancetta ($8). The service was slow as it was a Friday evening & the bartender had a lot of customers; he also waited on the tables. The ambiance was fantastic with the old, ornate wood bar.Parking: There were plenty of metered street parking within 3 blocks. We parked around 6:15pm. Around 8:30pm there were plenty of spots closer.

James is probably the most knowledgeable bartender I've met. He takes the time to explain the how and why about spirits and drinks.

Absolutely some of the best cocktails in the area.. the bartender is a well respected master of his art. It’s one of the only spots I regularly venture to in Glens Falls and it’s always worth it.. If you go on a Saturday night there is usually some legitimate Jazz artists performing right there next to you.. doesn’t get better in this area..

Food was amazing! We had the 35 day dry aged ribeye. James, the bartender, is wonderful and very knowledgeable about drinks. Would highly recommend. The atmosphere is laid back, quiet, and you can actually hear your partner talking. An enjoyable

A classy little spot with speakeasy vibes serving craft cocktails and a small food menu. We just came for a drink so can't comment on the food but we loved our cocktails and the service was impeccable.

Rude bartender “mom-shamed” me by telling me “I should not be at a bar, I should be home with my child”. He said this after I said how excited I was to be out with friends as it’s been awhile….I asked him 3 times to repeat that comment and he did laughingly. After crossing out my tip on my card and demanding to speak with management, I was manhandled by male Downtown Social staff and establishment’s male CFO which intern gave me a panic attack. I told them I was a disabled combat veteran and the staff and”CFO” became more physical with me. I also have reason to believe I was up charged 90 bucks on my credit card.

Did you know there was a speakeasy in Glens Falls? No? Me, neither. Yes? I guess it's a semi-well kept secret. A friend of mine posted about restaurant week at a "bourbon room" in Glens Falls (not to be confused with the one in Saratoga Springs)...I saw "speakeasy" and was intrigued. Enter through Downtown Social or the outdoor entrance just off the back parking lot near the alley where warm weather outdoor seating is. We arrived early as it was a last minute decision to go out. The vibe is very cool-dark wood, candles, private booths and a great collection of bourbon/whiskey. Staff is great-the bartender really knows his stuff and I'd consider him a mixology prodigy. Our server was also fabulous; she also teaches cooking classes there monthly. (Get on the email list or check out their social media for other info...i.e.: live music; they have jazz every Saturday night from 8-11pm). We decided to go for the restaurant week menu. Off to a great start with cocktails, a charcuterie board and the "breads and spreads" appetizers. Drinks were great, appetizers plentiful. Dips were olive tapenade, hummus and romesco with warm bread from Rock Hill - all delicious. This could have been my meal. But wait, there's more. Charcuterie board was a lovely mix of meats, cheese, crackers, mustard and pickled onions. Again-enough for a meal. Main courses were the wagyu burger and blackened salmon. The cabbage salad served with the salmon was the bomb...loved that. The barley mushroom pilaf was very nice. My only issue was that the salmon was way too salty. I love salt....this was over the top salty-even for me. Left quite a bit of it over. The burger was savory and sweet; the focaccia bun was gigantic. Steak fries were delicious. Chocolate almond mousse was served in a large glass-again- a very generous portion. Yum. Crème brûlée was a very thin layer of custard compared to other versions I've seen/tasted but it was decent. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and with a few menu tweaks, this place has great potential.

A secret gem, in Glens Falls. An intimate location, hidden behind Downtown Social. You can enter through Social or use the separate entrance off from the Exchange St Alley.Patrons can order food from a special Bourbon Room menu or Downtown Social's large menu. The real high point are the specialized cocktails. Give James your likes and dislikes and he will make you a delicious cocktail.Typically there is live Jazz on weekend evenings.Personally, I am there at least once a week.

Had a great time at the cooking class, I prepared and ate a wonderful Indian meal, had some great wine and met some great people , Cesaera and Jamie made it fun for a beginner like me, will do it again soon, 5 ⭐️

We were treated to a night of learning to cook Indian dishes tikka masala, saag, rice and of course mango lassis. Cesarea our chef extraordinaire explained everything, answered all our questions and ensured we had a wonderful time and our bellies were filled with delicious food we prepared. We can’t wait to come back!

Great place for a cocktail and jazz. Menu is the same as Downtown Social. Bartender and waitress were very nice and food was good and plentiful. Try the cheesecakes. It’s homemade and huge. Definitely can be shared. The Daley News band was really good too. Will definitely be back.
