Writing a review for online to-go orders. Beware: Service quality depends on whether or not you add a tip first before picking up your order. If you don’t tip up front, be prepared for subpar service, like your drinks being filled half way. This isn’t the first time we’ve experienced this issue with this Applebees. This is exactly why we’ll wait to tip with cash when we pick up our orders.

My husband and I chose to eat lunch at Glenville Applebee’s today. We had an amazing server named Sarah! The restaurant was short-staffed, but she made up for it as best she could. She brought a smile and a happy demeanor every time she came to our table or was serving another table. While we were finishing our meal, Sarah discovered that a group of people walked out without paying their bill. Although obviously upset about it, she handled the matter professionally. Not only should Sarah see a financial “thank you” come her way, She should TRAIN other servers how to exhibit GRACE UNDER PRESSURE. My husband and I were greatly impressed.

Lauren, our bartender, was lovely and very attentive. Troy, the manager on duty, is overseeing an efficient and polite staff. Our dinner was delicious as usual and you can't go wrong with the holiday Golden Goose cocktail to relax after holiday shopping.
