This place is one of one. The kind of place that one can feel the heart, humor, and love that went into making it what it is. Incredible people and great food.

Dick and Peg's has been on my radar for the last two years, and I'm so glad we finally made the trip – honestly, kicking ourselves that we didn't go sooner! This spot holds so many memories, and from the moment you walk in, it feels like you're stepping into a home. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere reflects the heart of a family-run business (just three of them running the show)! We could've easily spent the entire night there—it’s that kind of place.

We started off at the bar, where we enjoyed drinks alongside complimentary crackers and a homemade cheese spread. The service was so laid-back and friendly. They take your order at the bar, and when your food’s ready, they bring you to your table—simple and perfect.

We had a group of six, and we ordered a mix of steaks and seafood. Everything was cooked to perfection and every plate was scraped clean. And if they offer you a choice between salad or the pasta salad, go for the pasta salad—trust me on this one!

I can’t stop thinking about our time and meal here and have been telling everyone we know about it. Every time we’re in the area, this will absolutely be a priority. If you haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and give Dick and Peg’s a visit. You won’t regret it!

The husband and I went out on an impromptu adventure yesterday. Last minute we had no kids and were en route to one of our favorite places . But as fate would have it we took a detour and found this amazing little restaurant. We didn’t have reservations but they were so kind to squeeze us in. Immediately the atmosphere hit us. Low lighting, calm, lots of cool antique things to look at, beautiful bar, a couch by the fireplace the perfect environment for a nice meal. The food was all cooked perfectly (my husband likes his steak very rare, still kicking) and he said it was perfect. The chef came out and greeted and thanked us. It was a wonderful place and a very beautiful scenic drive getting there through the mountains of upstate New York. We WILL be back, next time with reservations!

We didn’t even have the opportunity to eat here. All we did was walk in and the hostess greeted us with rudeness. She said no walk-ins and that there was 2 tables ahead of us and instead of inviting us in for a drink to wait, we were told “reservations only” and that she had no idea how long the wait would be. maybe if they had a website and posted this so this was clear, I wouldn’t be giving them one-star.

Because the food was so good, my husband and I ate here two nights in a row while vacationing on Caroga Lake. The surf and turf was to die for (no seriously it was perfection) — highly recommend!

What a great place to eat!! The hospitality was top notch and the food was on point and the atmosphere is amazing!!

Our dinner last night was outstanding. It had been a long time since we had been there, however, our circumstances brought us there last night. A treat for the senses from the moment we enterd. Absolutely Amazing! So happy our friends recommended us to try! From the moment we walked in we were in love. Warm cozy atmosphere, beautiful bar with amazing cheese spread and crackers while we waited for our dinner, drinks were delicious, large portions, dinner was delectable! We didn't want to leave!
