Based on the reviews, El Mezcal Taqueria & Bar offers authentic Mexican cuisine in a friendly, laid back setting. The food is absolutely amazing, with tender and flavorful meat. The tacos are traditional tacos with cilantro and onion, and two different salsas on the side. The chorizo tacos are a favorite, and the steak is just as good. The al pastor taco was juicy. The guacamole has a slight kick and is some of the best, with chips that seemed very freshly made. The quesabirria, alambre, chori pollo and molcajete are the real stars. The Birria is better than anything in Albany or Saratoga. The restaurant also has Horchata, Tamales, and Flan. Margaritas in assorted flavors really hit the spot, with the hibiscus mezcalita being a favorite. The salsa is so good. The place looks small on the outside, but there is plenty of seating. It is clean, the servers are so nice, and the portions are great. The prices are incredibly reasonable.
