Ive been coming to Daruma since middle school. This place is a gem in Great Neck, with the kindest waitstaff of any restaurant. Make sure to get the spicy mayo, eel sauce and tempura flakes.
Had high hopes for this Japanese rest that was highly recommended by a friend. Firstly, the poor hostess who was also our waitress is amazing. She juggled the whole restaurant herself, with grace and a happy smile on her face , which was impressive, so 5 stars for her. Unfortunately, the menu was truly lacking, the limited choices won’t be attracting me back anytime soon. The spicy tuna was colored quite brightly it was off putting. Very cute and Relaxing restaurant. Food is very tasty , loaded with flavor . Same chef for the Mets . Very very cost friendly !!!!!
