Went to black llama on random Friday night off season. Really good space and atmosphere and pretty cocktails. Worth a visit at any point

We decided to head over to grab a cocktail ? after dinner. The Black Llama is in Stirling Square. This lounge is situated in the same square of the 1948 pizzeria, American Beach Hotel and Restaurant and the Tree bar. The evening was absolutely perfect. We went on a Friday night and it was a good mix of people at each place I mentioned. The Black Llama had a DJ playing music ?. I enjoyed it. I believe the type of music the DJ was playing is Electronic Dance Music - EDM. The drink menu is unique which is what I expected at this lounge bar. The waiter was super helpful and offered up suggestions. A relaxed atmosphere. We sat outside but I took a look at the inside and it looked great. Our cocktails were delicious. Also, for those who might not want alcohol, they do mocktails. I will go back ! It is a special spot.

Imagine ordering a $16 cocktail from a craft cocktail bar and it comes in a pint glass loaded with ice. I’ve never been served such poor presentation in a cocktail bar, let alone on the North Fork where detail matters. You can walk 10 feet over and get served a proper drink in a proper glass from Brix and Rye. I don’t know what Black Llama is doing.

I had been going to this place since it opened before the pandemic. I always bring friends that come to visit. I have been a client. I was there on March 30th at night and had a couple of my favorite drinks at the bar with a friend I brought. The woman bartender was so rude at me for no reason O guess besides mi accent. When I was ready to pay she pointed me and my friend and called us “those people”. It was so rude I still think of it today and feel humiliated and embarrassed. Even the other waiter noticed it and felt uncomfortable with her behavior. I’ve never been treated like that anywhere ever.Not coming back.
