Had to cancel a reservation last minute from catching the flu. There website mentions no cancelation fee yet I was charged 80$. I tried to call the restaurant multiple times with no response. If this lack of care for people translates to their food I'll be going to the next spot down the road. Go back to the City with the rest of the trash!

We made reservations for a table for six and we got three little tables pushed together couldn’t even give us bread for each table. There was no one sitting at the six person table when we were seated .As we were finishing dinner the hostess asked us to hurry up and leave because people were waiting for Our table. Our friend got a text before we arrived threatening to charge us $40 per person if we didn’t show up even though we arrived early and had to confirm the reservation at least once I will not be returning to this restaurant. They were clearing the tables before we were finished eating.

The worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life. Threat of $200 dollar no show fee—waited an hour for our table. Food was terrible. Staff was terrible. DO NOT GO HERE! Save yourself the trouble. Don’t waste your money.

My wife and I was walking through the town of Greenport & stumbled across this hidden gem of fine food, service and atmosphere. Starting with the cocktails my wife enjoyed a lavender gin martini and I a perfect vodka martini. The Ceasars salad was spot on to perfection. I ordered the Osso Bucco was perfectly prepared. My wife had the Lamb shank that was outstanding. Then came the chocolate mousse that was light airy not to sweet and the amount of cocoa was excellent ? ? ? ? ?
As someone who has spent a lifetime of cooking fine gourmet fare I appreciate the expertise put into the preparation as well as the presentation of everything served that evening.
Mes felicitations au chef.

As a 10 year local i can say I’ve never had a bad experience out in town like I had at this establishment. The first time I came in I waited for 15 min and wasn’t even addressed by staff on memorial day weekend and just left for no service. Then yesterday At the tail end of the festival I stopped in to have a drink before getting a ride home. The owner refused to serve me(which is fine if she thought I had to many) however the fact of how rude she was was a total other level and even had a police officer come make me leave (blowing it way out of proportion) while I was just sitting there waiting to hear from my ride to get me. patrons that saw this even said to me she was out of line. Spend your money at other local establishments like Andy’s or Claudio’s.

We ate here on a beautiful fall day. The porch is ideal for a day like that. It's simple French bistro fare. I had the croque monsieur and a salad, a nice light lunch.

The perfect French restaurant for a visit to Greenport. Enticing menu choices and you can't go wrong withy any of the sandwiches because of the wonderful baguette bread the fillings are placed in. It's nice to dine at one of the outdoor tables to people-watch and enjoy the summer weather.

Loved this French bistro! Prix fix at $39 was an excellent value. Pate for an appetizer was a very generous portion. The chicken paillard was best I ever had and also very generous. Wine with dinner was very good. Service and atmosphere was perfect!

True French atmosphere. Three of us enjoyed dinner including steak tartare, delicious saucisson, Calf Liver Bordelaise and the special roasted Halibut, and the Striped Bass. Wines by the glass were delightful and well priced. Merci Bistro DeMarchelier! ❤️??
We look forward to return for the Bastille Day celebrations!

I had the pleasure of dining at this charming French bistro in Greenport, recommended to me by French friends, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance was warm and inviting, reminiscent of a cozy Parisian café. The cuisine was excellent, especially the fresh salad of the day and the delicious calf liver Bordelaise, which I was pleasantly surprised to find on the menu. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall wonderful experience. This bistro is a true gem in Greenport and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine French dining.
