We were staying with a friend in Southold during the snowstorm and desperately trying to find anything open… and somehow stumbled into Lucharitos Greenport. Honestly? Best accidental discovery ever.
Matt, the bartender (who also happens to be the General Manager), was insanely warm and welcoming. Exactly what we needed, walking in frozen and hungry. He made some of the best margaritas I’ve had in a long time, and there was something about the salt on the rim that was next-level. It had this subtle sweetness to it that made the whole drink pop. I’m still thinking about it.
We grabbed a few tacos and they were perfect, but the real game-changer was Matt’s recommendation to try the Lucha Crunch shells. I don’t think I can ever go back to regular taco shells again. That’s it! I’ve been converted!
Great food, great drinks, and genuinely awesome people. If you’re anywhere near Greenport do yourself a favor and stop in.

Phenomenal food!!!! I haven't had such great Mexican food in a long time. We got the birria quesadilla, tortilla soup and jalapeño poppers. JT the chef and Diana the waitress were amazing. We will be back!!!!!

I was in recently for dinner with my family and our meal was tasty. However, things that were labeled GF were actually not GF. The waitress was pleasant, but accidentally drop guacamole all over my jacket. At the end of the meal I thought they would not charge us for the guacamole or would give something complimentary but that didn’t happen, which was disappointing.
