The food was amazing and was quick to come out, it’s a nice twist of Japanese traditional with North Fork flair. I’m a local so I do come here a few times a year because I’m obsessed with the Duck Ramen. I normally would leave a glowing review but I just can’t because of the one (French maybe?) waitress. Everytime I have come here she has been so incredibly rude that it actually takes the joy out of coming here. When we were ordering I asked for the hot green tea and she responded with “I told you drinks are on the back, I just said that to you” and proceeded to aggressively flip my menu in front of me and scoff at me. I really wanted to get up and leave but my friends were with me and we really wanted Japanese food and didn’t want to drive to Riverhead. I wish they had a waitress that was kinder as everything is perfect, even the bathroom except for the service because of the attitude of the waitress. :/
Food was good. Waitress was very rude and gave attire the whole time. We asked to split 7 ways and only said 3. She was acting like the group of 8 girls of age of 18 were 13. She definitely didn’t want us there. We saw the chef and was so nice. It was just this waitress that ruined the night . Definitely would’ve gone to a place with not as good but with nicer waitresses. I don’t even think it deserves a 1 star just because of this waitress . Other than that the food was good!
It was my first visit dining in for lunch and everything was stellar. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Thank you!
I've yet to ever have a bad meal here. The sushi and sashimi is brilliant but where I think they really shine are the noodle dishes. The beef udon is incredibly unctuous, beefy, and full of complex flavor and you get a lot for your dollar. Get the Japanese pickles, the wasabi octopus, or a seaweed salad for your appetizer and you won't be disappointed.
The lead server is not friendly nor accommodating. She is beyond rude and lacks serving experience. She forgets about tables and then gets an attitude when asked when food is coming or even for additional food or drink. We have eaten here many times and always the same poor service. Food is great specials great but who wants to eat at a place that the help doesn’t even show respect to the customers. Ownership should ship her out and replace with a pro guaranteed business would flourish. We will not return u til we hear this has been rectified. Terrible experiences each time. We are not ones to complain and we can easily eat hundred of dollars of sushi and do regularly. Their loss.

The edamame, kimchi, salmon rice bowl, kimichi ramen, and udon ramen, and salmon avocado roll were all super tasty. However, the service downright sucked. We were a table of 3 who chose our seats and quickly got our sparkling water we ordered however after that it took 45 minutes just for our waitress to come. After ordering it took another 45 minutes for our food to come and another table that sat down 30 minutes after us got their appeteizers before us. We also only got our two of our main meals and two appeteizers so we were still waiting for an appeteizer and a main meal. Another table was also obviously unhappy and dissapointed with the service another table even left and told us it was because they saw the "service" we recieved. We did get a four piece gyoza that our waiter said was on her. That didnt change the fact that our other appeteizer and main meal came 30 minutes after our first appeteizer and main meals which came out in the wrong order. The waiter that gave us the gyoza also came over at the end and treated us to two sodas and a sake and some kids crackers and a lollipop (which all kids got). Finally the salmon avocado roll was the only thing that seamed really unreasonable priced it was sixteen dollars for six pieces which were good but definitely not worth sixteen dollars. I was very grafetul that they apologized and gave us things that were on the house but for such and expensive place I expected better.

We stay in Greenport every August, love the village and it's funky, boho and vintage charm. Stirling Sake a long established sushi and sake restaurant represents the village vibe to a tee. Eclectic decor and bebop jazz playlist are part of the charm.
The sushi and other Asian dishes are fresh and a world class in preparation.

Walked in and bartender (possibly owner) was so rude and slapped a menu on the table when we asked and rolled her eyes at us and rushed us. Also smelled like hot garbage with a side of tuna. Not worth my shmoney!

Recommended by a local shop owner, and wasn't disappointed. The food was phenomenal, and the staff were friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was quite nice as well.

The location is nice. Food is good. Not the super creative vegan sushi some places do but they do provide good food
Came here in a whim after the cross sound ferry the soba with vegetables and the seaweed salad and the shrimp shumai really nice balanced beautiful flavors. Nice to see more authentic Japanese food on the east end.
