A beautiful day with great food. Lovely atmosphere, great conversation with Alyse and I left with a stunning bouquet of roses. Thank you for a great experience.

Best waterfront atmosphere and food in Greenport. No overwhelming crowds or noise, peacefully at the perimiter of while still right in town. Delicious food on top. Get the buffalo shrimp!

Extremely nice server. Food was good, not good enough for the price though. Something about the vibe of the place was a little strange.

It was my second visit to The Shipyard and I really wanted to like it. Wonderful waterfront vibe with friendly service. Unfortunately the food (all 4 dishes we ordered) was underwhelming, with our party of 4 agreeing our entrees and a large salad were all relatively tasteless. And at these prices?!
The bar needs to maintain its supply of gins (no Bombay, no Aviation?) and the only fish fillet menu option was replaced by swordfish, which is a far cry from striped bass. No wonder The Shipyard was the only restaurant in Greenport with an outside table available on a busy Friday night. Even Claudio's food is better. I won't be returning to this establishment.

As someone who has been frequenting Greenport since childhood, I am—to put it lightly—greatly disappointed with The Shipyard. Our party of seven, out on the town for our friend’s 21st birthday, was sat at a table for six—even though our reservation has been saved FOR WEEKS for seven. Our birthday girl stood at the foot of the table—waiting for our sever to bring her a chair—for a good 5 to 10 minutes. Thankfully, she got a chair to sit in, and ordered her lobster roll that she’s been waiting all month for. My lobster roll was a $50 6oz and her’s was a $75 8oz—and after waiting over an HOUR for them to show up—they appear to be the same exact portion size. Please, save $25 and order the 6oz—or better yet, don’t order it at all, since you won’t be getting seasoning (other than mayo, if that counts?) on the lobster or even SALT on your side of chips. AND your lobster WILL come with cartilage still inside of it, so don’t get poked. (By the way, the list of New York’s top 10 lobster rolls are all under $30–this was genuinely such a rip off I’m surprised it’s even legal.) ADDITIONALLY, the pasta with clams WILL come with sand in the clams, at least from our experience. The added crunch was an interesting—yet not welcome—culinary choice. Plus, if you happen to be ALLERGIC to clams and order the pasta with a substitution of shrimp, your meal will instead show up with COLD chicken! And with a KIDS portion! And while we’re on the topic, the portion size of the “must have” buffalo shrimp appetizer is genuinely enough for maybe one person. Admittedly, the one whole shrimp I was able to eat was pretty good—probably the best thing I got to eat all night—but I would not return just for it. Overhearing bumping music from Claudio’s was probably the saving grace of the whole night. Honestly—save your money and your time, and please choose another restaurant for dinner.

Great spot literally on the water. Amazing staff from the hosts to our server Darius and all the food runners. We got a lobster roll and the ceviche. Both off the charts and will be coming back for that lobster roll. Love this spot!

I have never given a place a 1 star review until now. We were sat immediately with no reservation, ordered shortly after seating, and waited over an hour until we received our food. It was not busy, our water was never refilled, and nothing was comped in response to the extremely late food. Even worse is the price to portion ratio, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

What a magical, beautiful, waterfront setting! The lobster cobb was the BEST we had ever tried and the pistachio creme brulee was out of this world! Even if you have to drive from Manhattan just for the day to experience this rare gem it will be well worth it! I give this place 100 stars!

Amazing atmosphere!! Seats on the dock, quiet, nice & peaceful ambiance!! Service was great, Darius took care of us and was super polite and attentive. Drinks were great, we got aperol spiritz and spicy margaritas. We shared the fried calamari 10/10 & the medium sized lobster roll 10/10! Dog friendly outdoors.

A terrific experience, thanks to the yardmaster and your crew. Food was delicious, service was exemplary, you even managed to produce a breezy sunset on the water. I'm torn between telling everybody and keeping it to myself!

I am so sad to write this but unfortunately we had a terrible experience at this restaurant tonight. We had a reservation, were seated right away. We received water, and that was it, for 35 minutes until we asked for a waiter to see us. We ordered promptly because we had two young kids with us, and luckily our daughter's food came out shortly after, however we then had to track someone down for forks and napkins. It was another 15 minutes until we got our drinks. Our food did not come out until 7:50, when we had a 6:30 reservation and ordered the first time we met our waiter. To recap, 35 minutes to speak to a waiter, 50 minutes until we got our first drink other then water, and 1 hour and 20 minutes until we got our food, and at that point I had already left with my children. We completely understand when restaurants are busy, and do not expect much but we are extremely disappointed with the service, and even the food that we had to get wrapped. We will sadly not visit this restaurant again.

For our visit to Greenport, three of us researched many restaurants before selecting two for dinner. We chose this restaurant for the option to dine on the beautiful pier. We were unable to due to wind, but it did look beautiful in person like the pictures. However, the food was another story. It was all an overpriced disappointment. For appetizers we got blistered shishito peppers ($16) and buffalo shrimp ($27). Both were ok, but not thrilling and the portions were small for the price. The entrees were terrible. Two of us ordered the linguini with clams ($38) and one got a salad with grilled chicken ($36). The linguini came out dry, over seasoned with rosemary and missing the crispy garlic from the menu description and picture online. Not to mention there were THREE clams with one shell being empty. There were a few more minced clams in the linguini but it seemed like canned clams. I’ve order this dish dozens of times from many restaurants and have NEVER received only 3 clams in shells. I also think serving an empty shell just shows a lack of care in presentation. After complaining to the waitress she was very kind and took our plates back. They returned with more sauce that wasn’t very tasty and the same minimal amount of clams. Still no crispy garlic even though I asked where it was. At that point we were starving and just wanted to eat and leave. The meal was a huge disappointment and for a $200 bill we could’ve gone to many other nearby restaurants and had a much better experience. Safe to say we will NOT be back on our frequent trips to Greenport.
