A really nice surprise in a small town, easily worth the trip. German flair food seasoned well. Just a note, pizza isn't traditional, no mozzarella cheese, and the dough is flatbread, but my wife really enjoyed the Swiss cheese and spinach. The prices were very good. The owner chatted with us and was very personable, made the meal even better. I highly recommend the beef stew, it's a special for the winter, I also recommend finding this gem.

We started with a flammküchen and cocktails, then had pork schnitzel and spätzle with short rib and two glasses of wine. These two entrees were the best version of either I’ve ever had. I’m sorry to give such outlandish praise - it contradicts the simplicity and humility of the place. Our bill was $108. Worth the drive in if you’re from out of town.

I was pleasantly surprised about the authenticity of the food. It was very delicious and good portions (not too much but not too little). A very nice atmosphere and a knowledgeable and gracious host. We will definitely come back again and try another menu item.
