Exactly what you’re looking for in a place like Hammondsport. Such an idyllic place that completely fits the town. The baked goods were excellent. The only knock on the place is that it’s cash only and the coffee wasn’t the best.

I was excited to go to this quaint little bakery to sample all their goodies. When I arrived at 10:20am they were already closed! Apparently he makes a limited amount and when it's gone he closes. Bummer!

Vern's is a H-port gem. We are so thankful to have a NY bakery of this caliber in town. Freshly baked every morning with love. The almond cherry pastry is the bomb! Vern is super congenial!

I can't believe the variety and quality of the pastries that Vern turns out each morning! We stayed in Hammondsport for 2 nights and made sure to stop by Vern's both days for breakfast. Highly recommend grabbing a savory and a sweet pastry and bringing them to the lake for a picnic breakfast!

My wife and I stopped in this morning for pastries and an egg sandwich. We purchased a blueberry scone, cinnamon bun and egg/cheddar/bacon sandwich, all were way past delicious. I was hoping for a sausage sandwich, but he was sold out. Vern credited the town butcher for the popularity of the sausage, I would add that the bacon sandwich was out of this world good too. We can’t wait to go back to Hammondsport just to visit Vern’s again. Thanks Vern.

Such a lovely bakery, and the owner was incredibly sweet and kind. We had a spinach, cheese, and egg croissant, as well as a raspberry and chocolate croissant—both were delicious.

My boyfriend and I went to Vern’s for breakfast while visiting Hammondsport and we were blown away! Vern has a delicious assortment of pastries and baked goods that are huge and delicious. My boyfriend’s favorite was the blueberry goat cheese and mine the cinnamon roll. Vern also has hot coffee which was good. Vern welcomes you with a smile and great service!
