This has become one of my new favorite getaway spots in Long Island. The food is always fantastic, innovative, and fresh. The cocktail menu gives me something original to choose from, and also includes a great mocktail selection when I’m in the mood. Staff at the restaurant & bar are always so great and accommodating.

We had a birthday dinner, food was exceptional. Our server Patrick was super nice, thank you. Portion sizes were ideal, very nice and cozy atmosphere. They surprised us with birthday cupcakes at the end, thank you. We will definitely come back!!!

We went for the first time last night with our kids they were very accommodating with our children ! Drinks were great and food was delicious, Josh was amazing kept checking in on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything ! We will definitely be back

My boyfriend and I spent a night at Canoe Place, and Good Ground Tavern was the restaurant inside the hotel. We both enjoyed our amazing dinner. He got skirt steak 🥩 with spicy chimichurri. I had striped bass 🐟 with jasmine rice. I highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10

Absolutely Beautiful! From the minute you walk into the door the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The wait staff is absolutely terrific and are very knowledgeable on the menu. The cuisine is absolutely delectable everything is so fresh made to order and beautifully executed. I would highly recommend. The place has such History and is simply lovely and a beautiful experience...both for dining and lodging. Thankyou!

Had brunch this weekend with my family and we all loved it. Sat on their beautiful patio and the service was great. Canoe is beautiful place to come visit and enjoy all their various spaces that fit each season. The food and overall quality has gone up.

When will the venue GM realize Chef Bob is a profound simpleton and the kitchen needs an overhaul in its management? You have lost some good employees because of poor choice in hiring of the people that supervise the kitchen inside. Remember the botched first wedding at your establishment? Stop taking risk with these unqualified so-called chefs who have no idea what they're doing.

Although the room is lovely, the noise is incredibly uncomfortable. The waiteress was lovely, but overwhelmed. We waited forever for a glass of water and the meal never picked up the pace. Questions about the food relating to medical needs were not answered properly….watch out diabetics. The Caesar salad was wilted and lacking any flavor. The other salad on the menu was delicious, but VERY SWEET. The diabetic at the table had to stop eating it. Proteins were delicious, but there was NO selection of vegetables to order and the bit of zucchini served with my pork chop was the most bitter preparation of a vegetable I’ve ever eaten. We passed on dessert because the room was so noisy. Our check was incorrect, although it was a small calculation. We paid it to quickly escape the noise

The toast was absolutely black on the bottom. Inedible for both myself and my friend. This may be why the smoke detector went off before we got our food. They chose not to re-toast our toast. In addition, the food was not that great. The avocado toast was avocado mousse style which of course is cheaper to make, but the price reflects better avocado toast. The Bloody Mary was one of the worst I've ever had. Truly, not good. We had high hopes for this place. It's pretty. Staying there in their cottages would be nice, but going just for food - not worth it.
