Terrible!!! Every year I hope this place will get it together, but they can’t do it for some reason. Patio is amazing but service and food are just terrible. Yesterday we went for brunch were seated promote but waited for our food 45 minutes! Once it came all fries with burgers were cold, Eggs Benedict with salmon was not to any restaurant standard. Burned bun and tasteless salmon, cold potatoes with no seasoning. What’s happening here again? Very disappointing

My second time dinning here. The food was delicious and service was excellent. The little garden on the side was a plus for my kids to run around in. Will definitely return the next time we’re in town.

Beautiful outdoor restaurant in the hamptons. We came for brunch. Got there at 9 on a Sunday before the rush. Service was amazing. The eggs Benedict and French toast was exceptional. Definitely recommend.

I’ve eaten at the good ground tavern several times and the food is generally very good. I went a few weeks ago on a Tuesday night and was given a card with summer specials which said they were having summer happy hour all night on tuesdays. Went back the very next Tuesday and the bartender refused to honor the happy hour - and was quite rude about - even though it was listed on their website (and is still on their website now several weeks later). Really a turn off when a restaurant advertises something then doesn’t honor it.
While we’ve always dined in the bar—our favorite of the beautifully designed indoor spaces—today we decided to try brunch outdoors. The atmosphere was wonderful, our server Patrick was fantastic, and we enjoyed an amazing lunch. The lobster roll is now my favorite in the Hamptons, and my dining companion’s fish tacos were equally exceptional. I can’t wait to return soon—there are so many tempting things to try on the brunch menu alone, from the homemade pop tart to the French toast and more.

Food was disappointing, drinks were the best I ever had. Our waitress was so very sweet and on top of everything. I found out it was her 2nd day. Outstanding. Sitting outside was breathe taking and relaxing. I would not recommend it for the food but everything else was amazing.

In the Canoe Place Inn, one of our favorite places in Hampton Bays. I still cannot believe what they have done to this place and how nice it now is. I worked there in the 70s when it was OBI East. It is so different now and still so much fun.

For a lovely evening in the Hamptons, consider the Good Ground Tavern at The Canoe Place Inn in Hampton Bays. To eat dinner in their beautiful outdoor garden is just magical. The sun sets, the lights dim -- the food is wonderfully prepared, the drinks menu --is well thought out and refreshing. Simple elegance and attention to detail make this place special. A special shout out to Josh and Adrian --they make a busy weekend night seem smooth and effortless and make each patron feel welcomed and important. The service staff is on top of their game. I'm sure all the wait staff is excellent in this place, but Haley is our favorite.
