I would say this is the BEST Chinese takeout restaurant in the Hamptons. The service, the taste, and the hospitality are absolutely amazing. The portion of each dish is worth the price that you give. I recommend to have meals in this restaurant.

I think it is solid Chinese Food for the price you pay, but broccoli does tend to be 70% of the meal, which is annoying

I like their fried chicken, they are fast and they have respected the waiting time. What I mean is that if they tell me that in 10 or 15 minutes and I arrive for my order, it is ready and that is fantastic, no waste of time, the food is delicious and clean, excellent.

I was very excited to try this Chinese spot cause of the nice reviews, but oh wow was I disappointed. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice and the chicken wings with pork lo mein. The sesame chicken was stuck together like it came straight from the freezer into the fryer. Seems to me that they store old food and put it back to fry so they don’t lose money. Very sad if that’s the case. Anyways, the lo mein also tasted old. The noodles had no taste at all. Everything tasted old like if I were eating left overs from last night. And it’s not like I came super late. Hopefully you guys can do better.

I pride myself on holding high standards for comfort Chinese food. Kong Chen is hands down the best Chinese I’ve had. Everything is 10/10, prices are more than reasonable, it’s fast, and the family that runs the place is lovely. Don’t think, just order.

I have been coming to Kong Chen for decades. I recently moved back to Hampton Bays, and the food is as good as I remembered. It is consistent, hot and tasty. The people who work there are friendly and courteous, and the prices are incredible. It is a take out place. That is why I gave the atmosphere 3/5 stars.

great food but keep an eye on the cleanliness of the place, sanitation was called in recently upon a complaint to make sure everything is up to standard and regulation

We ordered because we assumed most Cantonese recipes are the same and that it would be hard to make bad food. We couldn't have been more wrong. Egg drop soup was disgusting and mostly starch. Trashed. Shrimp with lobster sauce ate the shrimp, the rest was trash. Wonton soup. Soup has no flavor and wontons were very thick. Chicken with cashews bad taste. Chicken texture like plastic. No exaggeration, ate small amount and then barfed it up. Trashed. Chicken with garlic sauce average. Can't recall the fourth dish but very unhappy and there were no left overs because it was trashed.

folks, check your food for baby roaches and larvae before you eat it, especially inside dumplings (that would otherwise be awesome again). I love this place, quite honestly. Whenever I'm in NY I'm a regular. Owners are very nice. Just tried their crispy beef tonight and it was delish. But the rest of my food had to be returned. They need to scrub their kitchen squeaky clean, sanitize it and aggressively monitor for any further bug infestation. A slowdown in the economy/profitability or a sense of monopoly over the neighborhood is no excuse to slack on the regulatory sanitary standards in any restaurant. I work in the kitchen myself so I know accidents happen, it's just this one really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I still support this place but gonna take a break for a while because of the psychological loss of appetite. Meh.
