Trashed. Shrimp with lobster sauce ate the shrimp, the rest was trash. Wonton soup. Soup has no flavor and wontons were very thick. Chicken with cashews bad taste. Chicken texture like plastic. No exaggeration, ate small amount and then barfed it up. Trashed. Chicken with garlic sauce average. Can't recall the fourth dish but very unhappy and there were no left overs because it was trashed.

This is average Chinese food takeout NYC style. The flavor could be better, but it's not bad. If you're in the mood for Chinese food and want nothing fancy, then this is your place. I wish they were better quality though.

I tried this place twice based on the reviews and it was not to my liking. First time, I tried the lunch special of chicken moo goo gai pan, it was tasteless. Thinking I ordered the wrong thing, I tried again and chose their chicken & broccoli, a pretty basic chinese menu item, i thought I couldn't go wrong. Well the few chicken slices that were in the dish tasted and looked awful, the chicken meat kinda looked fake. For fear of becoming ill, I dumped it.

folks, check your food for baby roaches and larvae before you eat it, especially inside dumplings (that would otherwise be awesome again). I love this place, quite honestly. Whenever I'm in NY I'm a regular. Owners are very nice. Just tried their crispy beef tonight and it was delish. But the rest of my food had to be returned. They need to scrub their kitchen squeaky clean, sanitize it and aggressively monitor for any further bug infestation. A slowdown in the economy/profitability or a sense of monopoly over the neighborhood is no excuse to slack on the regulatory sanitary standards in any restaurant. I work in the kitchen myself so I know accidents happen, it's just this one really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I still support this place but gonna take a break for a while because of the psychological loss of appetite. Meh.

My girlfriend and I were in Hampton Bays visiting family and we were craving sesame chicken. We are originally from Queens and we can never seem to find a spot that can make sesame chicken the right way. We decided to try Kong Chen and they absolutely nail the sesame chicken! Everything about it is perfect, the delicious sauce is so sweet and savory. The chicken pieces taste very fresh and came out nice and crispy. Simply the best sesame chicken I have ever had, I wish they made it this way back home. You can tell they put a lot of love and quality into the food, im sure a lot of other things on the menu are delicious, do not be hesitant to order! It seems like this is a family owned business and they simply go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Gems like this place are very hard to find, appreciate them and support them all you can ! :D Thank you Kong Chen for a first delicious experience with your sesame chicken, I will definitely be coming back to Hampton Bays just for your food! My girlfriend loved it, she was so happy!

The family that runs this place is very nice and the food is absolutely delicious. Usually food is ready quickly, but on my latest order it took a while longer. Now, for me that's bit a bad thing, as they were extraordinarily busy and the food is worth the wait. I highly recommend trying out their food, as I've not had a bad meal here yet.Parking: There is sometimes space to park out front or right across the street. If not, there are a couple of parking lots nearby that should typically have some space.
