Christine Oakland Hill and John Hill absolutely went above and beyond to give us the most perfect wedding. They were available every step of the way to make sure everything was just right. The venue was beautiful. The food was top notch and the extras they surprised us with made our guests so happy. Oakland's was always a special place for us, so close to home and now it holds a special place in our hearts. I can't thank Christine, John and their amazing staff enough for a truly fabulous day!

Another one of those places with huge potential that kind of leaves you like "meh". Bartender was almost hostile she had such a baaaad attitude but everyone else was great. End of season attitude I guess. I remember. Food was reasonable for the location and the quality was good. Grew up around here and was looking forward to something really special. Had a great time with old friends regardless. Yeah we will come back next time.Parking: Yeah the parking is a bit rough. You'll want to come early. Way too little parking for the seating and bar capacity. No big deal but they ticket HARD.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7 Decor: 8 Value: 5 Overall: 6 Like many places with a great view, the food is honestly san afterthought at Oakland's. I had a great time chatting with my friends this past weekend inside their beautiful dining room before they shutdown for the season, but the food was not impressive. Everyone talks about their amazing Crab Cake, really? Maybe mine was an anomaly, but it was not filled with lump crab and lacked flavor. I love crab and eat crab cake everywhere. This ranks on the lower half for sure. As for my Halibut Sandwich, the fish was fried reasonably well, though I wish the batter was crispier. What bothered me more was all the pickled vegetables on top that takes away from the delicate flavors of the fish. Had a bite of my friend's Flounder Sandwich. The panko crusted fish was crispy enough, but flesh was dry. Burrata Salad was just okay since it didn't have that creaminess you want, the salad needed a drizzle more of balsamic vinegar, and quality of prosciutto could be better. Lastly, don't bother ordering the Clam Chowder because there is almost no clam flavor at all. Too heavy on the cream and all I got was potatoes. Clearly the cuisine will not be bringing me back, especially when there is often a wait for seats at this popular restaurant with a view, but maybe I will for the sunset.

Love this restaurant. The food is well prepared, presented, and scrumptious. Bartenders were very attentive for the entire time we were there and it was busy. Looking forward to the next visit.Vegetarian options: Very accommodating

I absolutely love love love this place!! Oakland's is an amazing restaurant with delicious seafood and beautiful views. It is not often that water front restaurants deliver this high quality cuisine. I am also thoroughly impressed with their dishes. I have had their salmon and shrimp (both pictured below) as well as the mussels, shrimp quesadilla, short rib, and scallops. Everything is absolutely delicious. The service is also outstanding with a young and super friendly waitstaff. There is often live music to enjoy and a packed outdoor bar with beautiful sunset views.Whether its a date night, family dinner, or get to together with friends, Oaklands is an excellent choice. They do not take reservations so the wait can be up to 1.5 hours for an outside table however the nearby scenary is gorgeous with a beach across the street making the wait go by fast. And believe me, this place is worth the wait!!

i love the ambiance, food, and view there but honestly the wait can be very frustrating. so many times we simply order our food and drinks and sit in the outdoor bar area. there are 2 indoor bartenders there whenever we go there, one is a very bubbly, blonde irish woman who is very friendly, patient and helpful but towards the other side of the bar around the service side a very nasty, unfriendly, horrible bartender named Kyle who won't crack a smile no matter what. I had a big order, between our entrees and drinks and immediately he complained "I don't like this one bit!" obviously he dislikes his job and customers. Next time i will not make the mistake of ordering through him!! By the way, the 2 middle age blonde women in hostess area also snappy and unfriendly. I love the food especially the salmon but so disappointed they discontinued the delicious mash potatoes that came with it. Now it comes with a simple relish. Please remember to order the delicious fresh bread with garlic butter. I love it there, however there are many restaurants in that area i'd rather go to without getting scolded by and receiving cold treatment.

Food and service was adequate. I was a little annoyed with the rum punch however. The waitress asked if we wanted a floater in the drink ,we all decided yes , however when the 46.00 dollars worth of the three drinks came to the table ,the waitress quickly told us the bartender felt it was better to mix the floater in. I feel this was a scam to add a five dollar charge to each drink. Stirring or consuming the "floater" should be left up to the patron not the bartender. My advice is to either specify the visible contents of the floater or just ask for a regular rum punch. The bottom line was that nobody tasted the extra charged alcohol. Bit of a scam in my opinion-things in general are expensive enough with out paying extra for something you did not receive.

I think the two stars is generous. This restaurant has multiple things labeled gluten free on the menu. I was excited for the shrimp entree I had picked out since I not only have celiac but I'm also a picky eater. Anyway, we get there and as they are taking orders, I ask about the gluten free item. The waitress asks if it's an allergy to which I reply yes and I was told that the yucca fries are cross contaminated AND the plantain cake has breadcrumbs?! For real?!?! And, most of the GF markings weren't truly safe... I don't know what to say to this uneducated, uninformed menu. They made me some plain salmon and gave me asparagus. I ate, but why would you label things gf that aren't?!?! No one raves about their food and I wouldn't bother going back.

Numerous items on the menu are tagged as gluten free but everything is cross contaminated or has gluten. I ended up getting a plain piece of salmon and asparagus. I was not impressed- not for people with celiac.

The food was not good. Very disappointing. Soft shell crab was deep fried you could only taste the oil as well has the so called flash fired calamari, it was deep fried. The mahi tacos were tasteless. Wouldn’t recommend the food just drinks for the

Front desk issues, They made us wait almost an hour when we walked in. Some strange seating arrangements. We walked in at 4:10 They told us a 40 45-minute wait and we did not get seated until 5:00 p.m. nor did our phone go off to say our table was ready. Meanwhile everyone that came after us they told them 30 minutes to 20 minutes and we were still left waiting 50 mins. With empty tables. Otherwise our server was great The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful.
