I feel like I want to move next door to this place. From the moment you step into the vibrant streets of downtown Harrison, a delightful culinary adventure awaits at Greekish Restaurant. A gem that's just a stone's throw away from the plush Avalon apartments and a leisurely block from the Harrison Metro-North station. Here, the essence of the Mediterranean is brought to life under the watchful and friendly eye of Nick, the ever-present owner whose warm welcome sets the tone for a remarkable dining experience. The ambiance of the Greekish is immediately inviting, with an immaculate setting that radiates both comfort and class. It's the kind of place where the decor complements the culinary journey, creating a harmonious blend of sight, taste, and aroma.Speaking of aroma, as soon as you enter, your senses are aroused with a bouquet of scents so authentic you might as well be in a seaside taverna in Greece. This aromatic allure is so potent, it even graces the streets outside, teasing each passersby with hints of herbs and spices, as if inviting them on an invisible magic carpet ride straight to the restaurant’s doorstep. The menu at Greekish is a testament to the rich tapestry of Greek cuisine. The beef brisket gyro, a personal highlight, is nothing short of a revelation. Each bite of this gyro is a perfect symphony of flavors, with the brisket so tender and flavorful, it easily claims the title of the best I’ve ever had. The homemade feta cheese, a staple of Greek cuisine, is creamy and crumbly, a true delight for the palate. But the wonders of Greekish don’t stop there. The array of signature dips, including a refreshing cucumber tzatziki and a robust eggplant creation, are perfect starters or accompaniments. For those who adore seafood, the grilled octopus platter is a must-try. Accompanied by jumbo steamed shrimp and the most succulent mussels, it's a dish that transports you straight to the shores of the Aegean Sea.The lamb chops were almost flight over, they are another highlight, each piece cooked to perfection, embodying the true spirit of Greek street food. If you're in the mood for something more familiar yet with a twist, their open-face burgers are a revelation – they've redefined what a burger can be, surpassing any I've tasted in the past five decades.Let’s not forget the sides – Greek oregano fries that are a perfect blend of crispy and flavorful, and chicken wings that are so juicy, they’ll leave you craving for more.In conclusion, Greekish Restaurant is not just a dining venue; it’s a culinary journey that encapsulates the essence of Greece. It’s a place where every dish tells a story, every aroma paints a picture, and every visit leaves you longing for the next. Hats off to Nick and his team for creating a slice of Greek paradise in the heart of Harrison!

My wife and I just got back from Greece and had an urge for a true Greek salad. Not a regular salad with some feta chucked in...which is all we could find...even at a greek "diner." By chance we saw Greek-ish driving through Harrison. Giving it a shot, we found the salad to be amazing...all the ingredients were fresh and crisp. I also tried the hummus dip, amazing as were the two entrees we had. Of course I had to have more than one Mythos beer. So if you're looking for real Greek food that's absolutely delicious in a comfortable atmosphere...definitely no need to get dressed up, you need to try this place. I guarantee you'll go away as happy as my wife and me were.Parking: Plenty of free parking behind the CVS across the street

It was just ok. We heard a lot of great things and finally tried it. Multiple menu and drink items were unavailable or subbed out.Waiter was uninformed about the menu and the server helping him did not speak English. The manager was very involved and enthusiastic and did his best to overcome the small issues.Appetizers were nice and the dips were great.Mains were fine. Honesty, nothing was wrong… but nothing was excellent.Deserts were sub par. We ordered the baklava and the “molten” chocolate cake. Both were cold and tasted like they came from a box.The manager comped ouzo for the table and we all had a lot of laughs. But at the end of the day, the food was just ok, the drinks were average, and it was not what we were hoping for.It certainly wasn’t worth over $500 for a party of 6.

Food was average and nothing outstanding. The big plus is that it is within walking distance from the Harrison station on the Metro North line. Price was on the slightly high side for a neighborhood eatery. We ordered from the daily lunch menu but had to substitute the Brazino fish with the lemon chicken. For a seafood lover, it is just not the same. I also found it rather odd that the server said "it is not ready" because it was at the peak of their lunch hour; but really, if the fish is not cooked to order, I won't order it even if it were a fast food place. The place is unusually busy with a mixed crowd, and pretty noisy for a small place. There was only one server and a food runner. It will be low on our repeat list as there are other choices close by. Good luck.

This is a gem of a Greek restaurant. Went there last Thursday night for dinner and couldn't be more satisfied with delicious serving after serving of various food choices. It was a bit of the Greek islands in the heart of Harrison. Was not expecting that . Aside from the outstanding authentic Greek food, Nicholas (the GM) was incredibly friendly, and super hospitable making for an even more awesome dining experience while he multi tasked seating more customers, waiting on other tables, and helping in the kitchen. What we had: -2 Carafes of the house red wine. Quite good for a house choice. -Taramasalata spread -Greek salad -Grilled octopus -Branzino served with lemon potatoes and Horta - was filet style as they only serve the whole fish on weekends -Baklava for dessert My only wish would be for better ventilation. A bit smoky from the cooking in the kitchen. Will surely be visiting again and perhaps also going to their Nyack location. We live fairly far away, but the drive was well worth it. I highly recommend this place.

We were looking for a great place to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we got a recommendation from friends for Greek-ish. I'm so glad we went, we had the most delicious meal! Everything was super fresh, the dips and pita were fantastic, the lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the portion size was very plentiful- so excited for leftovers! The service was also absolutely excellent. The moment we stepped through the door, we were well taken care of and treated like family! I also super recommend the baklava, some of the best I've ever had. Thanks for a great meal and celebration, can't wait to return soon!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Nicholas and staff were super attentive and even provided a complimentary glass of wine and appetizer. I highly recommend the meatball appetizer and the shrimp entree. This will become a regular for us. We can't wait to go back!

food great very tasty, service leaves a little bit to desire but servers are amiable and funny, place sholuld be bigger and it is a little smokey because of the grills, but the selection and taste of food is hard to beat, if you dont go there you are missing the treat of a lifetime.

First glance place seems very nice.We were expecting the food to be of equal magnitude, did not expect the gyro chicken to be deep fried rather than the original charcoal grilled. Feta cheese was hard and of cheap quality. Not the creamy high quality Greek feta that we are accustomed to. The biggest upset was that the spinach pie which was supermarket bought reheated and fried again processed product and not homemade as you would expect. The price did not reflect what we ate. It was very expensive and did not have that Meditarian concession in mind. McDonald's quality and Peter Luger prices.
