Top notch sushi in a traditional Japanese sushi bar. Not glitzy, but for me it's all about the sushi. Service is fantastic, my green tea cup never got below half full before they were topping it up. Even the green tea and miso soup were really good and full of flavor, well above average.

I love Hajime. It's the best traditional Japanese/sushi between Boston and NYC. I make the trek from CT every chance I get when I want special, delicious, and fantastic sushi/japanese. Highly recommend!!!

Without a doubt the best sushi you can get in the area. It is pricier than others but you’re paying for quality and we feel it’s worth it. The service is friendly and efficient. Parking can be on the street in front or the lot in back.
The hajime special is always excellent, especially the tuna roll it comes with. The chirashi bowl comes with a good variety of fish and the tomago is a nice touch. And the rolls we’ve ordered have been great and filling

I've eaten a lot of sushi in Westchester county over the course of my life. This is the best. If you could give more than 5 stars, this would be the time for it.
Sushi is incredibly fresh and the authentic ingredients do make the difference worth the price. Staff were all incredibly friendly. This is the kind of place you save up to go to once a month because it's just that good!

Everything about this experience was top notch: food, service, and atmosphere. Everything about the place really lets the food shine, though. We had the sushi plates where the chef chooses. Every bite was better than the last. If I had one note, it would be to please tell me what everything is when setting the plate down! I thought I knew, but quickly realized that I wasn't familiar with everything. I'll have to go back soon so I can try it all again and ask.
