The food is delicious and the atmosphere pleasant. The owner is moody and you never know when he’ll be super pleasant or shockingly not pleasant. The service is also inconsistent. Sometimes great and other times not. I’d go more often if attitudes were less unpredictable.

I have been dining here over the course of 14 years.. and have always enjoyed the friendly staff and the lovely food.. it’s been some time since we have been there and we’re so disappointed by the rude man at the counter.. He is awful! I saw a few other people commented about this person as well. That is not surprising-but what is surprising is that the owner still allows him to work there when there are so many great Italian places also within the area… The waitstaff are great; but this guy has zero customer service… he was rude to me and rude to my family.. and not even kinda rude.. we felt uncomfortable.. I won’t be back and stay in Rye for Italian. Pass
This review is not for the food its for their rude staff. There is one worker that works behind the counter that has 0 customer service skills. He is rude. For the 3rd time now he is unpleasant and I cant understand him. He should be trained.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service was terrible, they were extremely rude and unprofessional. The prices on the menu were not aligned to what was shown on the bill, they hiked the price for every item without communicating the discrepancy. Never again. Save your money and time, eat somewhere else.

The food was excellent and very tasty. I have been to many Italian establishments & have never had Zucchini Parmesan. The Margarita Pizza was so tasty & crunchy with a super thin crust. The Eggplant Parm was delicious. Portions are large so won't go home w/o a doggie bag.We will return when we are in the area. We are from NJ.

Counter man was rude and not helpful. Told me that all the pizzas came out at the same time I had asked because they all looked very dry and would have ordered something else. I left and drove down mamaroneck and got pizza at Sal'

I wanted to try this new pizzeria but was a bit disappointed by the tastelessness of the toppings. Ordered a Sicilian that had no flavor then a thin slice of broccoli rabe . The crust was very good and crusty but again the topping very bland and no flavorful sauce . It’s a pity because the the in crust is very good . Since I work in healthcare I have to point out that the server picked the pizza slices with his bare hands and really should have left at that point . At other places they use a spatula or plastic gloves . Not a good sign at all.

Longtime customer here, regretting all of the business I gave Pizza 2000. Terribly rude service, including abysmal hostility from the manager and the owner. Their food is awful. Extremely unsanitary. Switched to Sunrise Pizza Their food is absolutely amazing and I feel terrible for what I’ve been missing out on by sticking with Pizza, 2000. never again. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place with all of the wonderful restaurants that are around. No one needs their restaurant or food.
