Just tried to make a reservation here, but didn't, because apparently they require a credit card now for reservations and will charge a cancellation fee if you don't show up or give three hours notice. Look, I get it. Small businesses and restaurants don't actually make a lot of money. If people don't show up and you leave a table empty, that's lost revenue. But sorry, that's the cost of doing business for pretty much every restaurant since the dawn of time. And if your food and service are good, the last thing you should need to worry about is one or two empty tables. AND we've eaten at 10 other places in the area that respectfully are much fancier and nicer, and none of them have a policy like this. Boro 6, check yourself. You're not as pretty as you think you are.

I have been coming here for years and in short: I highly recommend it. Not just for wine but for the delicious food, ambiance and the staff is great too. Every time we come here we have a wonderful time, they have literally always brought their A game. I love everything about this restaurant and this review is long overdue. Now the long story:The location is great. Hastings is a 15 minute drive from the city but makes you feel like you're a whole world away. Boro6 is within walking distance of several unique small businesses including a vinyl shop and boutiques. Everything is centrally located on Warburton ave or on Main Street where you can find plentiful parking. The area is a hidden gem and makes you feel like you're actually in a small town as opposed to minutes from NYC. It's perfect for scenic views of the Hudson, an afternoon stroll, then dinner and a glass of wine at Boro6.Now more about the wine bar... it is so nice to see the attention to detail and how much they genuinely care about the dining experience. Everything is hand crafted. The menu has so many options and they add new items often with well thought out pairings making each visit unique. The food is always delicious.THE WINE! In the last year or so they have released their own house blend which we were very excited to try. Needless to say it did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious yet still gives the cozy vibes you desire from a wine bar. The staff is so nice, its evident that the owner really cares as you can tell a lot by the way the staff interacts not just with clients but with each other. When I come back I promise to add pictures to my review but after having yet another wonderful experience here I just needed to take a moment out and give them the kudos they deserve. We will definitely be back soon!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and the staff/ kitchen are very accessible.Dietary restrictions: Chef and staff are extremely accommodating.

We had a great time at Boro6 — our first time back since before the pandemic. We sat at the bar and enjoyed excellent service from the server/bartender. Food was delicious! Only thing we thought could be better was the cauliflower — it was so drenched in sauce you could barely taste the cauliflower itself. Deviled eggs were perfection, garlic shrimp delicious, mussels so good! They’ve changed a bit since we last went here — ditching some of the more traditional tapas for more elevated options. Honestly, I wish they had both because I missed the tortilla and sangria! But overall this is a great restaurant with excellent service and a cool vibe. We will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Our server and the kitchen were very accommodating of my dairy restrictions. Our server double checked everything and pointed out anything that might not work for me. I felt very confident eating here with an allergy.

We LOVO Boro6! It is out Friday night spot (but make sure you grab a reservation!). The staff are super friendly and always attentive. The food is always great — and the bread — I would just eat the bread and be happy! We need more places like this around Westchester! I hope they expand soon.

This is the 2nd visit to Boro6the first time food was okay, not outstanding.Decided to give it another go. I’m not sure what makes diners decide to give 4/5 stars to a restaurant.. You can have a great atmosphere, great drinks? But if the FOOD isn’t spot on amazing, 5 Stars is inappropriate. If your service is subpar, that is another strike against you. Last night for us was pretty sour. From beginning to end was a disappointment and a disaster. The waiter came to the table and was doing the basic conversation, with no gusto, very basic, he was presented with a question about the Deviled eggs. He Had no idea About them, he was asked about a suggestion what to Order, he actually read the menu straight down, we stopped him. He had little to no interest in us, as he had bigger fish to fry, and we weren’t it. The food.. Risotto Rice Balls, Extremely bland, .. suggestion to add Serrano to the Risotto.. it will lend much more flavor.. Market Fish, Cod overcooked, extremely small piece 3 clams, 1 was empty, 2 were not worth mentioning. Plate filled with olives and grape tomatoes.. drowning in a broth with overcooked lemon, so bitter.. the paella was decent. Did we say anything to waiter, NO, why? He never once came to the table to ask how things were. When he did pass by we asked him for coffee, he took our plates, and seeing 3/4 of the market fish plate still there, you would guess he’d ask.. he didn’t. An Irish coffee came, to the table, and reminded him about the coffee as we waited 10-15 mins for the Irish coffee.. waiting waiting, no coffee. We were in a deep conversation about a dear friend who just died, and a women who was behind the bar, came to the table, interrupted our conversation, and said “Listen we need this table, you have to leave, we have 4 people waiting and our reservation system got messed up. I said “I’m waiting for coffee, she said I’ll take it off the bill.. I ripped into her like she probably hasn’t heard before.. she said sorry I’ll bring you the Check.. now I’ve been writing about food a long time.. Why this potentially good restaurant runs like this is beyond me. The waiter and her would be fired immediately. I was going to pay the Bill, but someone else grabbed it... as she knew I would have not left a tip.. that is what they work for, And it shows them your satisfaction. This is a very popular restaurant, gets great reviews, it’s Lively and has a great bar area. The Food is 5 at best on a scale from 1-10.. you work all week and want to support your local restaurants, NEVER NEVER again. The best part of the evening was when we left.. we went across the street to a sitting area to continue our conversation, a couple was walking their dog and we started a conversation, and they asked us about Boro6I was silent and then I said, if you’re into good food, not the place to go..Go for the cheese and charcuterie, they don’t make it.. they just plate it.. Sorry to be so honest, you can read this and dismiss it, or eat elsewhere.Unfortunately this will fall on deaf ears. As it a popular local restaurant that gets great reviews. Most people eat with their eyes, not there palette.

First off I’d like to say this is a beautiful space with a wonderful atmosphere. it felt very homey and all the serves were wonderful, especially Carla. She was on top of everything always making sure our glass was full and our face was smiling. The food was also immaculate, great job to the chefs who prepared everything in a timely order and never made us feel as if we were waiting. Ultimately, Boro6 is an amazing place and if you are in this area do not hesitate to pop-by.

Wow! That’s all I can really say about this place, I visited this restaurant with my family and I really enjoyed every part of this experience. The servers are wonderful and welcoming, the food is great and the look of the restaurant itself is amazing. I could go on for hours about how great this place was. I’d like to give a special thanks to my server Carla as well, she really enhanced the experience and left me with amazing memories. If you ever find yourself in hasting this place is a MUST GO.

New Age wine bar. very busy when we were there. loud. Waitress seemed put out a few times when our order did not come out right, kinda blamed us.She was helpful in giving tastes of wine, but seemed to be pushing bottles rather than multiple different wine tastings.Had a lot of organic wines and wines from New ways of making, which is enticing like the wave that has overcome all the new beers available. but I prefer old school wine styles ok with trying new stuff. There was a sense of a boutique wine choices which I likeFood was all above average.Vegetarian options: plenty

I’m not quite sure what happened, but last Sunday my husband and I had a horrible experience here. We have been coming to Boro6 for a few years as we live nearby. We came on Sunday for brunch and had a 1pm reservation. Everything was fine when we put our order in, but it took 35 minutes just to get our apps of olives and bruschetta. We were willing to wait, but in the meantime a table of 2 had sat next to us and gotten their food even before we got our olives. Olives don’t even need to be cooked so we were confused as to why it was taking so long. After literally an hour, our entrees, a kale salad and cacio e Pepe had not come out. They did not seem like complicated items to make. We were told the kitchen was running behind, but it’s crazy seeing literally everyone else get their food while we were STILL WAITING. After waiting for an hour and 15 we decided to finally just leave. At this point basically everyone in the restaurant had eaten and left. We paid for our drinks and apps with a sour feeling as I hardly get any weekends off of work. Next time I won’t recommend B6 to any more friends or family. We won’t be back.
