My brother and I are new to the area and we came across this place randomly… The owner is really nice and inviting he greeted us at the door with a nice smile on his face and throughout the duration of us being there he checked up on us to make sure we were satisfied with the service! “Had a very pleasant experience. Great dinner food. Had the turkey club panini and the veggie burger. I'd recommend both.The turkey club panini was a fresh take on turkey club. The tomato was still a bit cold which was odd, I thought it would be warm, but I had no issue with that. Good flavor.“

“The food was decent. I had the overstuffed Beef Gyro. In no way was it overstuffed. It was kind of understuffed. I counted 3 pieces of meat. They really should change the name. It did taste good even though it could have used more meat. I usually can't finish a Gyro but had no problem with this one. It was a snack not a meal. My friend had an omlet that was tasty but with the chages in the sides she made it was $18. If you change things I would ask what they charge. Overall a decent dinner. We had great service.“

“As an Italian raised kid who has always stayed loyal to a pizzeria I would take a slice from D’matteos any time and day. There is a beautiful combination of ingredients that allows for the ability to make a crispy or soft slice depending on your preference, and most importantly the selection of toppings is unmatched and the quality of them is of the highest. Also, the balancing of the toppings is perfect to ensure you don’t feel too full to get through a slice but it also isn’t too little to where you don’t feel satisfied after eating. The Italian authenticity is exquisite and I will absolutely continue to support this family run pizzeria.“

“We live not too far from this diner. I'm originally from NJ so, I when I say I know diners, I mean it! This diner has it all~ fresh baked goods, soups, dinner specials, all day breakfast and assorted platters ranging from gyros, paninis, brick-sized sandwiches and a bunch of seafood dishes also. My husband and I came here for a quick bite after a long day of running errands. He had the bacon, mushroom, jalepenos and cheese burger with a side of huge onion rings. The onion rings, I mean, look at them, they're HUGE, crispy and the onions are fresh. The burger was cooked to order, and they did not skimp on the toppings. There were loads of mushroom, bacon strips and cheese. It was greasy, hot and seasoned perfectly. I, on the other hand, opted for the reuben and it was uh-mazing. Pastrami was not dry, just the right amount of saurkraut, a mountain of yellow mustard (my favorite) accompanied with crispy, salty fries, pickle and creamy coleslaw. Our server was attentive, checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything and service was quick and great every time we've gone. We also regularly order delivery via GH and food always comes piping hot, fresh and delicious. We have relatives that live in Nassau County but they make their way to Suffolk just to go to this diner. They have great breakfast specials that won't be on those delivery apps so, swing by in the morning and check them out. Yelp Elite approved!“

“Went to breakfast with my wife and daughter. Seated quickly. Place was busy and full. We ordered coffee. My wife asked for Splenda twice. Server stated he was aware. We waited. He went to two other tables and didn't seem to have Splenda. We caught his attention and he had forgotten. Coffee was more like hot water. No taste. We received our food. It was okay, nothing to brag about. Just had high expectations on quality if food and coffee. 3 out of 5 stars is what I am giving them.“

“My parents and I came here for a late brunch after we dropped off our tax documents at a local accountant. We were met with an experience that was wholeheartedly welcoming and delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast portions were quite large and well worth their value. I didn't even know my breakfast came with three pieces of french toast! The pancakes were delicious in particular: large, fluffy, and moist, with generous syrup and butter on the side!“
