We celebrated a family members 50th Birthday. The food was good. However, a couple of us ordered empanadas which arrived inconsistent with size, texture and taste. The other entrees were pretty good. Service was fair. Bring a jacket/sweater it can definitely get a little chilly by the water.

You can't beat the atmosphere at Don Coqui. That being said, you pay for it with the prices on the menu. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was just ok. If you are going out to enjoy the atmosphere and don't care much for the food, then this is your place.

We had multiple servers so I couldn't really narrow it down to whom my primary server was. Gratuity already added to the bill. I've been coming to this location for years and even traveled 3 hours to come here because my past experiences have always been top tier however this visit the shrimp Mofongo which is my go to was not to par and the serving size was much smaller than usual. The chicken empanada wasn't that great either. This was my first not too good of an experience with this restaurant so I will give it another shot. Maybe they were having an off day due to the weather and low crowd.

Succulent! So delicious! But the best was the service. Everyone was so friendly and polite, from the valet parking attendant to the restaurant manager. Not to mention the breathtaking views of the Hudson River!

Lovely restaurant, right on the Hudson. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, allowing us a great view of surroundings. Food was good. It was my birthday so the waiters came out with our dessert, churros on a tree with strawberries and blueberries and three different sauces. They sang and were very lively. I found it very relaxing to eat and have such a peaceful, beautiful view. We will be trying their Edgewater. New Jersey location soon!

An absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment you drive in, you're treated like royalty, the valet service, the warm welcome at reception, and being personally escorted to your table set the tone right away. Having a dedicated waiter who was both attentive and polite made the evening feel extra special. It was my first visit, and I can honestly say I have no regrets. I also received a framed photo (in a glass frame, no less), which captured my genuine happiness in the moment. It's beautiful and will be a lasting memory of such a joyful night. I highly, highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly memorable experience with a view of a glowing sunset.

Waiter suggested appetizer for table. All fried brown dishes that were tasteless. Seated next to a large party who evidently had no dinning etiquette. The screaming between them was intolerable. Food was subpar and the prices way off the mark. Unfortunate, considering the beautiful location along the Hudson River. Will not go back!!

From pulling up the the parking valet to our leaving 3+ hours later we had an awesome experience. Location on the water , the super friendly staff and an authentic Caribbean menu ! The drinks fit the ambiance and were big and tasty. One small issue is the parking lot is small and gets packed ! But.. who cares when you can sit for 3 hours with your main squeeze and enjoy dinner.

Great place just seems like its in the middle of nowhere. Other than that its a chain with your typical Latin food

Service was eh, it was pretty busy but the fixated menu was not worth the price they bring very little portions of appetizer and a plate like in the picture with small cups of dessert which were like a 3/10 . I wouldn’t go back service lacked a lot maybe because we had a big party but when the gratitude is already included i’m sure they could care less of the party size. . overall the area was beautiful but restaurant was a good 4/10 parking was even worse, valet told me they’d only park my car if i had a tip.. lol

Naelyn R was the most amazing Server! Polite, caring, charming, attentive, informative, and professional.

I dine a lot and have felt as of late that customer service has taken a complete nose dive but not here, Naelyne R attended to every need and question. We had a lot of questions and request for recommendations and she explained each dish in great detail. When i found out ahe just started working there and knew each diah, portion size, and ask really great follow up questions, she helped us choose the beat drinks and dishes!

What a positive infectuous energy she has. Some people just have a light and Naelyne shined extremely bright! If a customer has a comaint about her, i bet you its the customer. Someone that dedicated to ensuringyou have a magnificant dinning experience would only have a problem if its one of those impossible customers!

Be careful, I'd love to hire her!

The restauraunt itself is beautiful and beachfront, its an absolute experience. Youll actuay be gaslighted in tbe best way. The location, decor, and energy will make you believe you are on an exotic island.

Its connected to a beautiful pier containing benches and Gazebos. Right next to a delightful childrens playground

Waited an hour and a half for our food. When the food finally came out the food was either cold or not cooked well. We didn't send it back because we didn't want to wait another hour and a half for cooked food. The drinks for their price was not good, tasted just like pure juice. There was no lighting in the seating area. Just not a good experience at all. Definitely will not come back.

Edit 2: $60 for a mediocre pitcher of sangria with plastic cups and they charged an extra $11 for tip with only 3 people😂 how they are getting 5 star reviews is crazy. You are better off getting fresh food at Union up the street and $29 for a pitcher of quality house-made sangria

Edit1: Lots of potential, but this spot has gotten worse unfortunately.

Food is okay. Drinks are good and outside seating is nice.
