Donuts are one of the most popular desserts in the united states and around the world. A donut is deep fried from a flour dough and it comes in the shape of a ring. At Vilma's bakery we sell sugar donuts, chocolate cover donuts, and chocolate cover donuts with sprinkles.

Elephant Ear
These are our famous elephant ear cookies, it is a French pastry in a palm leaf shape or elephant ear shape. They are made from puff pastry, we use a dough similar to the dough used for croissants, but without the yeast. Puff pastry is made with alternating layers of dough and folded over to create possibly hundreds of flaky layers. The puff pastry is rolled out, coated with sugar, and then the 2 sides are rolled up together so that they meet in the middle, giving the pastry it's shape.
Corn Muffin

Our turnovers are a type of pastry made by placing apple or pineapple filling on a piece of dough, folding the dough over, and baking it. they are made with a puff pastry dough. We add apple filling with small bite size apples and pineapple filling with small bite size pineapple chunks. A very sweet and delicious dessert.
Arepa Dulce Sweet Corn
In the Dominican Republic, arepa is a dense, unleavened cornmeal and coconut cake. Arepa is a popular dish, and loved by all because of its simplicity in ingredients and how easy it is to make. Arepa de maiz has cornmeal, raisins, brown sugar, and coconut milk. A savory version known as arepa salada or arepa amarga is also popular depending on your taste. We sell both kinds, sweet or unsweetened arepas at Vilma's bakery, they are a delicious snack that can be enjoyed all day, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dulce de leche cortada is a traditional dessert in Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries. It's called leche cortada curdled milk because as you add the lemon juice to the hot fresh milk, it begins to curdle. We add cinnamon and raisins to give it extra flavor. Cupcake is a small cake designed to serve one person. At Vilma's bakery we make vanilla and chocolate cupcake. Rocano is our version of the regelach, a filled pastry product originating in the jewish community. Our rocano are made in the form of a crescent by rolling a triangle of dough around a guava filling. We also fill it with raisins, cinnamon, and brown sugar. It is an explosion of flavors in your mouth, as it is a crunchy dessert that softens in your mouth as you chew it.

This traditional, dessert comes from the Dominican Republic where home cooks famously transform corn, coconut milk, whole milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and cornstarch into a thick, silky smooth pudding. Chill the corn pudding until cold, and garnish with ground cinnamon.

At Vilma's bakery we sell them either by the slice or get an entire cake if you like. For the past 3 years I’ve been ordering my cakes from Vilma’s , I have yet to be disappointed. The staff is professional and helpful and I will continue to be a customer . Love this treasured bakery in my new hometown.
