Donuts are one of the most popular desserts in the united states and around the world. A donut is deep fried from a flour dough and it comes in the shape of a ring. At Vilma's bakery we sell sugar donuts, chocolate cover donuts, and chocolate cover donuts with sprinkles.

Elephant Ear
These are our famous elephant ear cookies, it is a French pastry in a palm leaf shape or elephant ear shape. They are made from puff pastry, we use a dough similar to the dough used for croissants, but without the yeast. Puff pastry is made with alternating layers of dough and folded over to create possibly hundreds of flaky layers. The puff pastry is rolled out, coated with sugar, and then the 2 sides are rolled up together so that they meet in the middle, giving the pastry it's shape.

Our turnovers are a type of pastry made by placing apple or pineapple filling on a piece of dough, folding the dough over, and baking it. they are made with a puff pastry dough. In the Dominican Republic, arepa is a dense, unleavened cornmeal and coconut cake. Arepa is a popular dish, and loved by all because of its simplicity in ingredients and how easy it is to make. Arepa de maiz has cornmeal, raisins, brown sugar, and coconut milk. A savory version known as arepa salada or arepa amarga is also popular depending on your taste. Dulce de leche cortada is a traditional dessert in Dominican Republic and other Latin American countries. It's called leche cortada curdled milk because as you add the lemon juice to the hot fresh milk, it begins to curdle. We add cinnamon and raisins to give it extra flavor. Last month was my first time ever ordering from Vilma’s, and I ended up getting three cakes for two separate occasions. Their customer service is top-notch, their cakes are absolutely amazing, and I’ve now found a new favorite bakery. For my last order, the weather was pretty bad, and one of the staff members personally brought my order out to my car. Everything about them is excellent, and I look forward to ordering from them again!

I order all my cakes here… for every single event. It never disappoints ! Their cakes are so fresh and delicious!! Everyone in my family loves their cake. My favorite filling is dulce de leche!! They answer phone calls quick and help you with your order. They are also very friendly and offer to help with cake during pick up. Prices are also affordable! I’m very pleased !!!

I ordered the cake over the phone. Sent a picture via what app and they called me back to confirm. I only have great things to say about this place. The cake came out more beautiful than expected and the quality of the flavor of the cake was amazing! I loveeeeee their tres leches cakes from this place.
