It will be a 30 minute wait."Whatever you do, wait for the Mac and Cheese!I had every doubt based upon the outside and inside looks of this place. But clearly I judged a book by its cover.I was blown away by the made to order Fried Chicken, the Mac n Cheese, and the Beef Ribs. I wanna go back just to try the rest of the menu and you can tell that these owners cook the food with passion. Patience is key with this restaurant, but your stomach and soul will thank you for waiting.If I had one negative comment to say, it would be to recommend having someone be dedicated to taking orders(phone and in person) and than another to make the orders. One person to balance both can lead to the long wait times.Overall I'm looking forward to getting food from here again but I will order ahead of time before doing so. The place definitely gets busy.Parking: You can park on the street in front of the place or the side streets on either side.
Food is excellent. Customer service is great. I have ordered many times on Grubhub and the food is consistently delicious. I love the turkey wings, whiting sandwich, sweet yams, string beans, mac&cheese and the cornbread. I actually feel happy eating this food and no the owners haven't paid me to say all this, I just really enjoy the food from this spot!

Horrible first experience. Tried to call got busy signal so I ordered online 1/2lb brisket. Waited an hour which is fine, but then when I arrived I was told they ran out of brisket. I cant believe in the over an hour of waiting they could not have just called to see if I wanted something else or to at least tell me they were out so I could get a refund. Will not be ordering from here ever.Just another reason to never come here again. Incompetent management. I ordered on March 2nd not Feb 25th. And I did try to call only to be given a busy signal and It did confirm my order it gave me an estimated time of 1 hour. When i arrived at the store there was two workers cleaning up for the night. Didnt look busy to me. Maybe there is a flaw with your online ordering system or phones but either way no excuses since your workers said “the boss” looked at my order so why wasnt I contacted? Just poor management cant even get the date right i ordered or able to give a reason as to why i wasnt contacted.

AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS BBQ! Sinfully scrumptious! Since I love ribs, my first time here I got both kinds - the pork baby backs and beef ribs, plus various sides - baked beans, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries and green beans. The huge beef rib was so flavorful and fall off the bone tender. Baby backs were coated in yummy BBQ sauce, tasty and not overly sweet. The owner/chef (Randy) is a very nice person, and my order was ready on time. The best!

Today was our second takeout order from VB and it was even better than the first. Brisket, collards, cornbread, beans and more were excellent! I'd give 5 stars, but they were sold out of some items and the wait was long (both good signs). Keep up the great work!!

I ordered delivery. 1 Turkey Wing, Mac 'n Cheese & Green BeansOMG!! Absolute PERFECTION! Everything was seasoned beautifully. The Turkey was extremley succulent, the Mac 'n Cheese was the BEST I've EVER tasted and the Green Beans were highly seasoned & OFF THE CHAIN.I just read about Village BBQ on FB the other day. I never knew they existed!! The GREAT part is...they are only 5 minutes from my home!!You better believe, I'll be spreading the word!!
We used to travel all the way to Amityville for Village BBQ, so we couldn't believe our luck when they moved into our neighborhood. The brisket, bbq chicken, and ribs are our go-to, with a side of baked beans, cowboy potatoes, and mac & cheese, of course. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu. Merrick has a new hidden gem!

Be patient with the staff and the cook and you will not be disappointed with the food. I had the pernil pork sandwich and it was delicious. I live and work in Queens and we have a LOT of spanish food near me but this was by far the tastiest pernil pork I have had. The mac n cheese was also really good.
The brisket taste amazing even my 4 year old was eating it.
