Read's Ice Cream

This is the first time i was able to try Read's Ice Cream. It was excellent. The first time I visit a new ice cream shop, I always try chocolate or sometimes vanilla. These are two flavors that are hard to get right and if they are not filled with a lot of other stuff, then the flavor of the ice cream has to stand alone. Read's Chocolate did not disappoint. Rich, creamy, and delicious. Well worth a trip.

I ordered an ice cream cake for my sons 5th birthday party. I was nervous how it would turn out because the boy whom I spoke with on the phone didn’t seem very knowledgeable about their ice cream cakes and the website would not allow me to order online. Stopped here on a weekday afternoon to get ice cream for the family. They make their own ice cream and the chips in the mint chocolate chip were huge. The chocolate ice cream had a deep and rich chocolate flavor. Additionally, they do have soft serve and ices to about 15-20 hard ice cream flavors. The inside is closed due to Covid and you can either order online or order on the side of the building via a walk up window. Ice cream is reasonably priced.
