First, this is about food from the catering service now located inside Temple Tikvah in New Hyde Park. We ordered the Thanksgiving meal "for 3-5 people." We were six, and there was enough for six more people! The turkey was 15 pounds, and even though we had to pick it up the day before (because I ordered late) and re-heat it the next day, it was moist and delicious. I enjoyed the Butternut squash soup but some thought it was a bit too sweet. All the other dishes were excellent -- mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, stuffing, gravy, and Brussel sprouts (we added some crumbled bacon). My only concern is that they need some signs at the Temple so folks know where to enter. Now we look forward to trying their other deli and "appetizing" foods.

Thank you so much for your gourmet Thanksgiving feast last Thursday 11/26/2020. We enjoyed everything especially the turkey, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, coleslaw, grilled veggies, butternut squash soup, and great dinner rolls. Leftovers were equally delicious the next day.

You know, the food every Jewish neighborhood used to have but is now nearly extinct.Very few of these places remain. Sure there are the deli tourist traps, rip-offs and inedible pretenders but Max's is the real deal. Been here for 3 generations. First as a brick and mortar over 70 years in the Five Towns and now as a catering operation out of New Hyde Park. Their homemade soups, matzo balls, kreplach, stuffed cabbage, potato puddings, tzimmes, roast chicken and brisket are the Tri-States best. Their appetizing! Wow. Cream cheeses, herring, smoked and baked salmon, whitefish, sturgeon and sable are all incredible. Prices totally fair and they deliver! We live in Brooklyn and find nothing in the city these days compares to the old school Jewish food from Max's. This place made our holiday!

I go to this marvelous restaurant often as I like the ambiance that is characterizes this restaurant. The staff is highly cordial and skilfull. The service is exceptionally fast. Not to mention, the food they serve is outstanding. I frequent more than once and I was always delighted. The cost is fair. I recommend this place to to everybody.
