Went ,again , for Bob's Favorite salad 🥗. Choice of tuna or chicken on top . ALWAYS freshly made to order . Enough for two meals. . Waitstaff is great to work with when ordering . Try it . . . .you'll like it .

Haven’t been to a diner in 17 years. Man was this the best stop to end the streak. There was maybe an hour left till they closed, but they treated us like we were the first customers of the day. Super quick, great quality of food, great hospitality. And when you have 3 kids with you, and still give all that, you know the place is legit.

The food was good but the waiter walked up to my group and started a conversation, me and my crew dressed in punk and metalhead attire. At first he asked if we we're in a band, then we talked about music but then the conversation turned weird when he asked where I was from because I have a slight accent. I told him I'm from Poland and he started to ramble about how Europe isn't safe. At first I assumed he was referring to Putin and his war on Ukraine but then he mentioned George Soros and immigration and that's when I got uncomfortable. He gave off right wing nut job vibes.
Service is always great... Friendly and always with a smile. Food... The home fries has always been in the darker side (if you like that burnt taste... ) Eggs are always cooked to your request.. overall it is a stable in the neighborhood!

When they redid this diner, I was super happy about it and whenever I was in the area, I would definitely go have breakfast or lunch. Very friendly people, Clean, the food was great moderately priced on certain items but a bit on the high side for the breakfast but when you get good food, you don’t mind.
I was there recently and I have to say I wasn’t happy at all. I went to go eat breakfast after my breakfast, I was starving. The home fries were made like mashed potatoes mushy. Some pieces were burnt. Should have took pics so you can see. The eggs weren’t cooked as I asked them to be. My bf got turkey bacon with egg whites & It was black as coal. Un edible, By the time the server came back, the meal was over and cold and we had to get out of there to pick up a family member who was having a procedure near by..The egg whites had a weird consistency.. My eggs I asked for over medium they were over well done. The only thing I liked was my pork bacon It was cooked perfectly other than that Everything else we had felt like it was a waste of money.
Overall, not a good experience when I went to pay the person upfront he told me that there’s two prices the cash and the credit card. Well, I have a debit card and most places do not charge you the fee with a debit card because it’s a bank account cash, you’re not charging it..dealing with fees etc with a debit card..I was explaining this And all he could say was “idk it’s plastic” and just seems to brush it off and charges me the fee. Back to the food, when we told the server about the food prior to paying he told us he would charge us for a sandwich for one of the meals... I guess egg sandwiches are $15.00 The server has been there a while and he’s a really nice guy & helpful. I don’t think it’s him. I just think whoever is managing the place now needs to do better. I don’t see the older gentleman anymore in there who I think is the owner..I wonder if he sold the place. It was pretty quiet in there and the prices are pretty high Even for their breakfast specials up til 10 am..the prices are the price of any expensive diner on the island nothing special but a tiny juice included so I do not understand the special except that it’s actually overpriced. Nothing to write home about here sad to say because I really liked this place when they opened moderately priced And the vibe was nice. If you’re the owner and you’re reading this, please do better. $33.00 + tax + debit card fee + tip for bad eggs, charcoal black turkey bacon, mushy home fried potatoes with burnt pieces in them.. no way! $45.00 for 2 people is a lot for a bad breakfast and experience they call a special. I Will not be returning.
