Hoy por primera vez fui a probar la comida y no fue nada agradable a pesar que tuvimos que esperar un buen rato para que nos trajeran la comida sin estar lleno el local , nada agradable porque en uno de los platos que pedimos causa de pollo nos tocaron 2 pelos , pese a que me la cambiaron no fue la causa que pedí nunca se disculparon y pese a ello yo pagué mi cuenta normal . El trío marino no estaba tan bueno y me cobraron por una jarra de chicha 24 dólares demasiado para no estar buena . Entiendo que quizás para el paladar de muchos pueda ser rico pero no fue de mi agrado .

Jalea is a a gem of Long Island. Hard to get delicious Peruvian food in Long Island especially if you come from queens.
This place hits a 10/10 with the delicious plates and great service.
Their chicken melts in your mouth and the aji is to die for.
The ceviche is delicious and lomo incredible.
Service top notch they are very attentive and take care of you.

I recently stopped by for a quick bite and drink, and I must say, the experience was delightful! The bartender, Melissa, was incredibly nice and truly made my visit memorable. She took the time to explain the dishes and provided excellent recommendations, showcasing her knowledge and passion for what she does. I would definitely return, especially if I know she’ll be there. Great service all around—thank you, Melissa! 10/10! ????

Horrible and expensive what a shame I'm Peruvian I always had vat good but now it's the worst I don't know if I change the cooks but it's not worth returning to this restaurant goodbye

I ordered the peruvian family combo. I specificly asked for maduros because they said they ran out of beans (which I found odd because a family combo should include both) and they gave me the dryest most tasteless tostones I have ever eaten. The order came with salchipapas which were disgusting. The hot dogs were dried up as if they had been cooked and reheated. I will not order again.

Don’t ever buy a gift card from this place. I received a gift card. I went in to have dinner. I thought the food was mediocre. The service wasn’t great. I used the gift card to pay the bill. The server told me that the gift card had 0 balance. I told him that it was my first time there. He told me that there was nothing he could do. He told me to call Jenny. I called many times to speak to her. I left messages. She finally got back to me and told me that she was going to investigate this matter. I waited a couple of weeks to get an answer. She told that she would reissue a gift card with the original balance. Long story short, she told me to wait for her to be able to reissue the gift card. I gave her enough time. I called to see when I could stop by to pick up the gift card. I left message and she never got back to me. It’s been 7 months. I don’t think I will ever get it.

The food is delicious, a little on the salty side but everything was still really yummy. Service is great and waitresses friendly. Margaritas were delicious and strong. Definitely pricey though which is why I deducted a star.
