My friend had been raving about this Peruvian restaurant, and I finally made it out to Long Island to have a try. As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. It was early in the day, so we decided to sit at the bar, which was a great choice. The bartender was very attentive and nice. Started off with a Classic and Passionfruit Caipirinha. Jalea is a a gem of Long Island. Hard to get delicious Peruvian food in Long Island especially if you come from queens.
This place hits a 10/10 with the delicious plates and great service.
Their chicken melts in your mouth and the aji is to die for.
The ceviche is delicious and lomo incredible.
Service top notch they are very attentive and take care of you.

I recently stopped by for a quick bite and drink, and I must say, the experience was delightful! The bartender, Melissa, was incredibly nice and truly made my visit memorable. She took the time to explain the dishes and provided excellent recommendations, showcasing her knowledge and passion for what she does. I would definitely return, especially if I know she’ll be there. Great service all around—thank you, Melissa! 10/10! ????
