We recently had the pleasure of celebrating my husband’s birthday with lunch at Kabul Grill, and from the moment we walked in, we were met with an atmosphere that felt warm, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. The restaurant has a cozy charm that reflects the heart behind it — it’s a family-owned business, and that pride and care truly shine through in every detail.
The service was attentive and gracious, and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Each dish was packed with rich, vibrant flavors and served in generous portions. Since most of us were relatively new to Middle Eastern cuisine, we decided to explore the menu and try a little bit of everything.
Aside from the variety of delicious kebabs we ordered — each one flavorful and beautifully grilled — another true star of the show was their naan and hummus. The naan was perfection, (definitely ask for the garlic version!), and when dipped into their creamy, flavorful hummus, it was nothing short of heavenly.
Dining at Kabul Grill was easily one of the best decisions we could’ve made for the celebration. It wasn’t just a meal — it was a heartfelt experience. You can tell this family pours their soul into the food and the atmosphere. We left feeling full, happy, and grateful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for incredible food, warm hospitality, and a truly memorable experience.

I visited this place for the first time a few days ago and, unfortunately, it was a major letdown. For the high prices they charge, the food simply doesn’t deliver in either quality or portion size. This isn’t the kind of Afghani cuisine you’d expect to find in NYC — it felt more like something from a generic spot in another state.
The kebabs were especially disappointing. They were advertised as grilled, but they seemed pan-seared at best — lacking any char, depth of flavor, or authenticity. The rice was just as bland, with no seasoning or character. Overall, the meal felt uninspired and overpriced.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I definitely won’t be returning.

dined in, they have absolutely beautiful dining area with afghan scenery and art, more importantly the food was fresh, had traditional afghan taste and was well seasoned! I’d recommend the chicken kabob and both potato and veggie bolani.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! I came in today with my family and was greeted right away. The inside is very beautiful and comfy. The customer service was amazing!! 10/10 wow. The uncle who owns this restaurant is very down to earth and has great humor. When they brought out the food, i was amazed. The quality, the taste and overall presentation was beautiful. Before our food arrived, we were given a very delicious naan bread, with a side of tasty green sauce. I came all the way from the bronx to visit Long Island and i will definitely be coming back here. Beautiful and amazing people, amazing and delicious food!! I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!

We had dinner at Kabul Grill last night, and it was truly a wonderful experience! This authentic Afghan restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and tradition.
The prices were very fair, especially considering the quality and generous portions. The service was also excellent — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.
And to top it all off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal — such a thoughtful and sweet gesture! We left with full stomachs and happy hearts. Highly recommend Kabul Grill to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Outstanding service and food to match!! We tried the hummus, banjan, and booranee and combo platter of kebobs!! Very fresh food, has a homemade taste. And I can't say enough about the service. It literally felt like we were lifelong friends being treated to a dinner. This place is a gem in all of Long Island!

What a wonderful restaurant. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Wide menu with various selections. We got the shirazi salad and the sample platter. It was delicious and fresh. The salad was amazing with peppers. The mixed combo grill 12/10 - lamb was soft and juicy, chicken big chunks and juicy. For dessert firni and baklava which was amazing. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. You won’t be disappointed. Some of the best afghani food I’ve ever had! Service 10/10, owners were so kind and on top of everything.
