This place is deceptive with the service charges. Charges 18 % with bare minimum service. Food prices are expensive & quality of food is average. Ordered lamb & chicken tikka, lamb pieces was too hard to chew, and burnt. Beef kofta wasn’t properly cooked. Bad experience, not coming back. Not an honest practice of doing business.

Hello everyone, please beware there is 18% service charges on four people dine in and then 8% sales tax so basically you will pay 26% if you pay cash and if pay card than it will be 30%. I went to the counter to order my food. The counter person never mentioned the gratuity percentage. I ended up paying more than $73 for $54 family platter today. No bill was taken on my service table where I had to go counter to complete my service. If 18% service charges are taken then at least try earn it by giving my family good service. The food was average with no flavor. The rice was too oily and was basmati rice instead salla rice. Please avoid this restaurant.

The chicken tikka and the mantoo are great. The portions are generous as well. However, they do charge an extra fee for card payments, which is why I'm deducting a star.

We ordered the lamb tikka and chicken tikka over rice (kabuli), the falafel over rice, and green tea. We were considering dining in but decided to do takeout instead for several reasons. While the young man behind the counter was friendly, unfortunately several stingy and cheap practices were apparent which is why we chose to do takeout instead of dining in. They charge an 18 percent service fee to dine in and deceptively have a sign on the door to the kitchen which says this so customers cannot say anything when they are surprised, or rather shocked, by the huge added fee. This is taking advantage of customers and is totally inappropriate; customers should have the choice of leaving a generous tip if they feel they received good service, but instead it is being forced on customers regardless of service. On top of this, there is a 3.99 percent fee for paying by credit card, although to be fair credit card transaction fees have become common. Furthermore, it is standard practice to serve water to customers dining in, but they do not even provide that; instead they make customers dining in buy bottled water. That is adding insult to injury, being charged 18 percent extra and not even being served a glass of water. Our Afghan people are known for hospitality, and unfortunately management, with these stingy practices, has disgraced the noble culture. They also charged three dollars extra for kabuli rice, which essentially was them adding some shredded carrots and a few raisins.
The chicken tikka was pretty good, but I felt the lamb tikka was overcooked, with almost a burnt taste. I felt the portion for the lamb tikka and chicken tikka was very small for what I paid, although I can't complain about the portion of the falafel over rice as they gave a lot of falafel, but I do wish they'd at least include some hummus or eggplant with it as most places include it.
I was also disappointed with my tea because I specifically asked for sugar in it but by the time it was cooled down enough for me to drink it I realized no sugar had been added.
I've been here a few times but I'm having mixed feelings about this restaurant and I hope management fixes some of these practices. Maybe I'd even consider dining in again if they do.

Food was ok, but was overpriced though. I was expecting more here because of the other good reviews, but I could've easily gone to another Afghani restaurant with reasonable prices.

Overcharging and stingy with their portions. I Ordered a lamb tikka and chicken kofta platter and ordered extra chicken on the side. But the chef made a chicken kofta platter and gave 3 very little pieces of lamb tikka on the side…. They are charging almost 17 dollars for a platter and the worker told me they only put 3 pieces of lamb as that’s the size of the skewer! I have ordered from here before and usually i would get 5-6 pieces of meat but seems like now they are always stingy with their Protien portions, even after charging a premium price.

Really good food. Enjoyed every bite of it. Had the beef kofta and lamb with rice and salad. They have some seating. Clean tables. At the time there were a few families inside with kids but behaved. Located on a main Street. Parking is somewhat limited.

Parking: Roughly 10-15 spots
