It’s nice presentation of the food but ceviche it’s too small for that price but everything else is good
Beautiful place to dine with that special someone or with your family. Nice music and not too loud. You can actually hear one another speak. Food was great and served in moderation. I didn’t feel stuffed and of course had room for some delicious picarones.
Too expensive, food is not bad but overpriced. For the price of a meal, I expected a larger portion, but it was very very small - the name of the dish described a steak, I could hardly see 3 small pcs of meat.
Unfortunately, in the last couple months this place has gotten worse and worse. It started by being one of the best Peruvian restaurants to eat at, but now the level has decreased and seems to continue to get worse. The attention and service is horrible, the waiters and administrators believe that they are doing you a favor by serving you rather than making you enjoy your stay since it is the people who give them more business. They are very uncivil, insolent, daring, and they always answer with an attitude. The food is good, but last time I asked for a Lomo Saltado, which is one of the most well-known dishes of Peru, and honestly it was not very good, the meat was cut more like steak than meat used in Lomo Saltado and it was a bit burnt to the point where it was hard. In the check, they automatically added a 20% tip. This is not right, since the tip is optional and it is also up to the person how much they would like to give depending on the service they got. I always give 20% tip or more, and honestly I got upset when I saw that they just added it to my charge. Also, at the last minute they charge you 3.9% more if you pay with a card, so you have to pay cash in order for them to not charge you that extra 3.9%, which is in addition to the 20% tip already added on. I believe that given the attention, the food, and the additional mandatory charges that they now have, this place is no longer the restaurant that I used to enjoy going to. I will look for other options, since this is now not a good place anymore.
I have ate at this restaurant a ton of times and used to love it along with their service. This is my first time ever writing a review but I was so upset at the situation that I felt so inclined to write. I live just 5 minutes from this restaurant and me and my family have been ordering their family Jalea for over a year. This past weekend I ordered the family Jalea along with half a chicken and spent over $60 on the pick up meal. When I got to the restaurant (prior to paying) I asked for extra green sauce, which I always do and am given. I was told they would give me the sauce but when I got home, I had no sauce. I immediately went back to the restaurant (allowing my food to get cold) because what I ordered was not going to be as good without the green sauce. I got to the restaurant and over a green sauce I had to wait approximately 15 minutes to -- one speak with the gentlemen who first helped and second to speak to a manager...AGAIN OVER A GREEN SAUCE. Then when I spoke to the manager she was very rude, telling me that green sauce has never been provided with jaleas (yet I ordered a jalea the weekend before and was given green sauce as well as every other time I order). Manager very rudely even asked "tell me who has been giving you green sauce so I can get them in trouble". Bottom Line. after 45 minutes with travel time, I was not given green sauce unless I paid $5.00. Now, as I told the manager, the money is not an issue but I should have been told from the beginning and I would have paid for it along with my bill. Needless to say, my food was horrible once I got home as the crispiness of the jalea was gone from being in the container for 45 minutes.
