Me and my partner have been here a few times and everytime we've came, the food and service has been great. On Monday, April 29, 2024, we decided to stop in for a lunch date and were serviced by Mr. Kern. The experience we had with Mr. Kern as our server led me to write this review. On this visit, the food was great as always but Mr. Kern Definitely made this a memorable one by being so personable, attentive, made great suggestions and had an overall great attitude. He had my partner and I laughing and made us feel at home. Aside from how he attended to us, we observed his interactions with other guests and he was treating them with the same hospitality he did us. Mr. Kern is a great representative to the on the border restaurant and I hope this finds his superiors well as he deserves all the recognition for being so passionate about his role. I will definitely return and would that the rest of the on the border server staff is as great as Mr. Kern.

Came at 9:00 on a Saturday night where we were seated right away. The service was alright but took FOREVER to get anything, and the waiter never checked on us.The food was decent - boyfriend got the ranchilada platter, asked for his steak medium rare and it was barely even cooked on the inside. I got the chicken bowl and it was alright, but not seasoned and the chicken was dry.I wasn’t really impressed but I didn’t have a terrible time - the Primo Long Island iced tea cocktail was huge and delicious, and was the highlight of the meal. But the service was incredibly slow, and I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Music was too loud, even the waitress couldn't hear us, and they botched the order. My drink arrived after 2 reminders. Enchilada was good. Fajita tortillas were stale and hard. I hope they improve their service.

I am literally writing this review as my belly is happy from the most delicious margaritas and empanadas waiting for my dinner. I had to stop mid enjoyment and write this review. Primarily for our server Olga, In the hicksville location. Not only is she kind, courteous and attentive as ever, she was beyond knowledgeable about the menu and the rewards program that was never mentioned to us before hand. On the border was great before but now it's forever with Olga and her stupendous care! She made me smile from the moment I met her! On the border is so lucky to have her as an asset to their company! Cannot wait to come back and get greeted by her smiling face again ! Thank you :)
Our server Stephanie was amazing!!! Had an excellent experience. She made the entire experience perfect. Food was wonderful, drinks were excellent and desert was off the hook. So happy. Can’t wait to come back.Parking: Huge parking lot
amazing customer service, accommodated our late catering order with such kindness, shout out to Brittany from the Hicksville branch she really took the experience from good to excellent, she was such a ray of sunshine and was so good to us!

I always enjoy eating at OTB. This is not Mexican food but a food that has been Americanized. You got to tell your waiter or server if you want to spice up the food. Otherwise some of the food comes fairly bland.I usually get Fajitas which is usually great.Parking: Part of the Mall. Hence plenty of parking.Peopl bit reckless in this mall.
