Must eat! I came for the Chopped Brisket Rice Bowl, must come back for their chicken wings. Great portions, great staff.

In my opinion it's overrated. I felt the food was over cooked and lacks true bbq flavor. I was expecting a lot more. It's was average at best.

Over priced , for the quality and amount - tacos are good though so I gave them 2 stars

Awesome wings. Nice and smoky and delicious and the wings are a great size. Medium was a bit hot for my wife but just fine for me so if you don't like a kick, don't get medium.

went in for delicious bbq that food was disgusting though, service was okay but the lady looked clueless. i ordered pastrami, pulled pork, and brisket from the pit… all dry. Ordered 30 wings with sauce on the side, even asked if we have it on the side… it was not. never

I have only visited the takeout only store. But the food is very good. The service was fast and friendly.

Love the food and the staff are amazing. The pork belly bites and the rib tips are my favorite

Had half pound beef brisket. Disappointed by the quality and flavor of the beef. Was actually looking forward to it and having lived in Texas for long, was missing the smoke briskets. Price was $18 per half point Vs Rudy’s $8.5 in Dallas and Houston. Hope they improve the quality and bring in a real Chef who knows how to smoke.

My family and I came here for lunch -- I liked the vibes in here -- you sit at picnic tables and everything gets served in paper baskets, so it's definitely casual bar-esque vibes. The food came out pretty fast, and I would say our favorites were definitely the boneless wings and rice bowl - wings are wings and the rice bowl was full of toppings and a decent sized portion. The cornbread was a bit of a disappointment because we expected it to be more fresh, but it came out cold and dry. The loaded nachos were decent but pretty average.

Tried the Hicksville location for first time today and was surprised at how bad it was. This location doesn't even come close to the one in garden city. I ordered cod po boys. The fish barely had any flavor the lettuce was mostly brown and bread was soggy. The fries I got were decent at best and the bottle of soda I got was completely flat no bubbles or fizz. You seriously need to have managers and cooks from garden city go to this location and teach them how to do things properly. Probably would not order from this location again

Now, a time honored tradition with me is when I'm about to leave New York, I eat out. It has to be new and it has to be good. I guess Yelp helped with that. Let me start by saying, since going to Texas and trying bbq, no New York spot has come close, that is until "Smōk-Haůs" came to town. My brother and I came here fairly early. There's plenty of parking in the lot, so it works out great. Before we could get into the place, two people ran in ahead. From the outside, the place looks small. Going inside it was an accurate assessment. There are no seats and the restaurant is narrow. It has real wood panel walls and kiosks to order. They also have a digital screen that displays all the items and all the pricing well. They also have a small counter where we met Jeffery. Jeffery was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I asked and he told us, they have been open for two and a half months. After, he helped us make selection and even recommended some items. When it was time to pay, I asked if they take Apple Pay and he said yes. Then told us it would be a couple of minutes. I thought, bbq in minutes, how? Jeffery must have noticed and asked if we would like to see the back area. I definitely took the opportunity to do so. Behind the scenes, the place is large and they have a huge staff. They had state of the art smokers and the work area was immaculate. I couldn't focus however, the incredible smell of the food, flooded my nose. After Jeffery handed me the food and we left. Once we got to my brothers it was time to eat, and eat we did. Let me start by stating the obvious, it smelled great, but how would it hold up with taste? Well let me say this. If you go back in the history of my reviews, I you will see clearly that I don't do beans. I always ask for my tacos no beans and this has never changed. But, if the beans they make were the beans I ate, I would put beans on everything! They were smoking, sweet and flavorful. I couldn't believe what I was eating! Next the cornbread and fries were excellent! Now onto the big three. The Mac and cheese being in of them. It was gooey, hot, and had a great blend of cheese. You can tell, they added a generous amount of cheese and in case you didn't know, I love cheese! Next we tried the pork ribs. Another solid choice. They feel right off the bone and were covered in a bbq sauce that added to the meat. I was speechless. Now last was the brisket. I love brisket in general. The best I've ever had was in Texas. I say this with complete confidence, this brisket might have been better. It was smoky and moist. It had perfect texture and it was delicious! My only complaint was that they didn't give us more; also, for not opening sooner. This place is legit. If you're in the mood for bbq and need a spot, this might be the best bbq in Long Island. Also this is there's second location, I need to go and evaluate the first. It's the only way to know if this location is staying true to the original. The things I do for Yelp.

Really enjoyed this place, for BBQ on Long Island this is top tier. Will be going back and trying the JV platter. We had the ribs, wings naked with sauce on the side, and the pastrami sandwich. Ribs were fotb delicious, wings were smoked AND crispy (maybe getting sauce on the side helped with that) and the sandwich was great.

The Hicksville branch is take out only…so no reviews about a dining-in experience. But wow oh wow were we excited to dig in to the ribs and wings! Other folks had rated them very high, so we decided to try them. No kidding - fabulous ribs, delicious wings, yummy fries and excellent coleslaw! The folks working there were incredibly generous - the ribs were the last 1/2 rack they had left, and I was originally told they were out of them. We ordered brisket and pulled pork…and then when I said my husband was so disappointed that there weren’t any more ribs, they threw in the last 1/2 rack for free!! Talk about customer service! Tomorrow I’ll be able to rate the rest of the food - too much to eat tonight!! Used my Foodie Card and got 10% off the bill. This was a win-win-win experience for us. We will DEFINITELY be back!
