Hardly write any bad reviews but unfortunately I’ll have to be honest and tell people to stay Away. This is yet another Pakistani place which has no shame serving old expired reheated food.I ordered seekh kababs naan and bun kabab and when I got home my car started smelling like dead fish. I opened the bag and I’m pretty sure the chef in the back was cleaning up and handling rotten food. Had to throw away, never going back

Today, we went for dinner. The shrimp biryani I ordered was really spicy and tasted awful. The chicken biryani that my brother and hubby ordered was not fresh. In order to flavor the biryani, they essentially just kept the oil and added spices in the stale biryani but the food tasted awful. It was microwaved chicken. The fresh biryani is always juicy and delicious. Please don't mislead your customers. Sell fresh food to encourage recurring visits from clients. Only on weekends are their biryanis fresh. The remainder are fried and given the stale biryani.

I tried a biryani once in Bangor , maine; the year was 2005. I thought that was bad. 17 years later I tried biryani from here. This place beats the record of all time. I took one spoon tried my best to swallow it and then I threw the rest out. This is the first time a biryani gave me PTSD.

One basic rule owners should learn is to not overcharge. Customer always sees the menu to order and it leaves bad taste when asked to pay more. Upon complaining, charge was corrected, hence 2 stars else would have given 1.

Amazing food. Finally a restaurant that cooks fresh food not microwave the pre-made food. This place is way under rated. Went there twice at night time and weekend morning. Both times got the best service possible from a restaurant.

Ate here with a group of three. All of our food was very fresh and delicious. Onion bread thing was so good I could keep eating them infinitely.Overall, good quality food in a big platter. Doesn't break the bank either.

One of the worst place I have ever visited. They have hidden charges that you will know after payment, the biryani is extream spicy and completely tasteless. Meat potato gravy with white rice is million time better than their so called biryani. Environment is like you are having dinner in hot coal mine. Suffocated and disgusting. I strongly recommend to garbage your money or better to feed a homeless person instead to visit Student Biryani Hicksville. I believe these 5 starts comments are their own made rating.

I don’t know who these people are that are saying this is the best briyani on Long Island, clearly these people haven’t had biryani from other nice places. The briyani was very mediocre. I was looking forward to the actual student briyani that they have in Karachi. With the name they’re totally misleading because it’s nothing like the original thing. The briyani was very average. Definitely not memorable and definitely nothing that I will come back for.

I first tried the student biryani with Uber eats. Loved the food and the careful packing. Next, I placed a pickup order from the restaurant. Again, amazing food and very friendly service. Today, my family and I went to eat at the restaurant. Amazing food and service. Patience is key. Food is cooked fresh so a little bit of a wait but definitely worth it. Dishes I’ve had, all of which are recommended: Chicken biryani, malai tikka, tandoori tikka, karahi chicken, bun kabab, butter chicken, garlic naan, onion kulcha, kheer. Amazing authentic Pakistani food and friendly and nice staff. Please give them a try. We were pleased and will be going again!

We enjoyed their chicken biryani. A little spicy for my taste, but it was well worth it. Beef korma, shrimp, and carrot halwa were good as well. The desi-style tea hit the spot after the food.I gave it four stars because our food server (Sidra) wasn't helpful and her customer service skills can be improved.
