Wonderful experience. Food was outstanding, Gino and his wife Maria couldn’t be more personable and accommodating. Fresh pasta and bolognese, pesto sauces were delicious. We felt like we had dinner in Italy.

The food was delicious on Saturday, 3/9/24 especially the Farfalle Oreganata with Pesto and the Oysters Florentine. Maria and Gino are very gracious hosts. We'll be back!

This place was the worse I've ever been. It took 2 hours to get my dinner. When I did, the breaded chicken was soggy. If I could rate a 0, I would.

Trullo D'Oro is a name that describes a traditional stone house made of gold. In some ways this describes this restaurant, but service is a problem. The owner/chef made tasty food and accommodated our party's food requests. The decor entails classic red/white checkered tables with complementary walls that evoke a sense of a traditional stone home.HOWEVER AND UNFORTUNATELY - the service is the downfall here. We were struck that only 1/3 of the tables (5-6 of roughly 15) were filled on a Saturday night (6-8pm). When we were seated, we had to ask for menus after waiting 15 minutes. We noticed that the owner took orders from other tables, including the 2 that had been seated after us. After 30 minutes, we had to ask for our orders to be taken. Apparently, the owner/chef is the person who takes ALL the orders (very traditional innkeeper mindset). The food arrived 75 minutes after we had sat down (and after the low sugar alarm went off on our diabetic's glucose monitor!). We ate in 15 minutes and had to get going - leaving no time to enjoy dessert and coffee - which is amazing since our family are very big Italian dessert consumers at restaurants! When paying the check, we left a tip commensurate with service (roughly 10%) since it was very slow and we had an urgent diabetic issue arise. (The glucose monitor alarm went off because the slow service caused hypoglycemia). When paying, we wrote a brief, balanced note on the check, "Great food but the food took 75 minutes to come out." When I went to get the car from the lot (because my 81-year-old mother can't walk well), the owner started to scream at my wife and mother about the feedback. He then came out to the car to yell at me (akin to what appears to have happened to another customer(s)) - leaving the few other customers in the dining area unattended! To Gino (the owner):1) YOUR OPERATIONS: You have good food! Unfortunately, since you take orders and work the kitchen, your operations are very bottlenecked; it caused terrible service issues and a health challenge for us (and others per the feedback). We understand it takes time to make food, but the bottleneck is at the front end (the 30 minutes it took to take the order). You lost 20-30% of the potential bill on the back end because we couldn't enjoy the end of the meal! Moreover, 2/3 of the tables were empty even though the food is good - and it wouldn't be surprising if this is due to untimely service!2) FEEDBACK IS A GIFT: You may be in the restaurant business for 50 years, and you're clearly proud, but feedback is always a gift (even after many years). I left you the brief feedback in private on the bill - but your behavior inspired this posting instead. Yelling at an 81-year-old woman and her family as she's trying to get into a car is just not right.MOST IMPORTANTLY: When screaming at us you said "YOU PEOPLE" - leaving us to wonder (as we drove away) whether the slow service may have been due to your perception of our ethnicity. (For the record - our recipe box at home has a ton "patria" recipes handed down by amiche and antenata.) BE CAREFUL ON THE "YOU PEOPLE" LANGUAGE YOU USE IN BUSINESS. WHETHER IT'S TODAY OR 50 YEARS AGO, "YOU PEOPLE" SHOULDN'T BE PART OF THE LANGUAGE YOU USE WITH CUSTOMERS - whether we're Asian, Italian, African-American, Irish, Eastern European, etc. We all equally want to enjoy a restaurant's food and an evening out...without wondering whether the poor service was intentional

This place has been here for many years. It's a small local place with friendly service. The food is a sold 3.5. The warm toasted bread served with olive oil is a nice start. The friend calamari was a small portion, so don't plan on sharing. The sauce was good and calamari is lightly fried and battered. The bolognese sauce was very good, just needed a bit more sauce leaving the pasta a little dry. The chicken parmigiana does not come with pasta so we ordered a side dish of ziti. The sauce on the ziti was tasty and different than the sauce on the parmigiana which lacked flavor. The chicken parm was just ok. A little dry, had the texture of a large chicken nugget rather than a fresh cut of chicken breast. The waiter was friendly and attentive.

I came here for dinner since I live in the area and like to support local restaurants. When I walked in, the place seemed welcoming. Nice decor, a few people at the tables, and a couple at the bar. We were sat promptly, and then I think they forgot to tell the waiter because we waited a bit for someone to come back and take our order. For a starter, we got the calamari. It came out fast and hot. The taste was okay, but it was a bit rubbery. The marinara served with it was pretty good, though. For a main, we split the gnocchi and chicken dish. The gnocchi was interesting for sure. The pesto was bold and strong. The pasta itself was pan-fried and had a firmer texture than I was expecting. The pancetta was a nice addition to the dish. The chicken was cooked very well and the sauce had some wonderful taste. The mushrooms were tender, and the small vegetable medly was good.Overall, this place was okay. The food and service didn't really do it for me for my dinner out though.Parking: Lot in the back.

Great place for authentic Italian food! The best branzino I ever had. And the owners, Gino & Maria could not be nicer. Will definitely go back.

The food and atmosphere was good. The service and workers are horrible. First off the chunky manager needs to watch his tone. He not only attempted to embarrass me in front of my family after I had asked if they had a specific dish, but he started coming for my weight too. Highly unprofessional. Later in the night, he offered my family 4 dishes specifically using the word “complimentary” implying it’s free of charge. I am not making this up, on my mothers life, this man gave us “complimentary” food and then ended up charging us $25 per dish (4 of us so an extra $100 total). He obviously decided to take advantage of my immigrant parents and shook them down for everything. After our horrid service our bill was $213. We just wanted to leave at this point so we paid our bill and left a $12 tip. After, the manager came to our car outside and knocked on the window demanding more money for the tip. We just drove away because he is clearly delusional but I wanted to get this off my chest because I was very upset.

Had the most positive experience with this restaurant, offered a very nice wine and variety of tasty appetizers and entre . The food is entirely fresh and flavorful.,The service from Gino and Maria and the whole crew was polite and immaculate. The pistachio desert was savory . Would highly recommend. Thank you Trullo .
