I've been a long time customer of Knaus. It's a wonderful neighborhood wine bar. Generous pours, excellent, friendly service & art surrounds you as you relax. Go here for a quick dinner of a very tasty sandwich, salad or flat bread. Sarah is simply amazing what she can do with such a small kitchen & prep area. I've met the most amazing people because Sarah is such a great small business owner. She brings people together& is a big supporter of local artists. Highly recommend.

I love Knaus! I have purchased many pieces, including pottery, a slew of decorative masks, jewelery, and a beautiful photo that hangs above my bed. Always greeted with kindness also.

A wonderful cozy neighborhood place to meet up with friends. Sarah Knaus has a nice selection of wine including Proseco. Beer is also available. If you need a bite, try her charcuterie plate, flatbreads, soups, and salads. She just added chicken salad, that’s my “go to”.If you enjoy shopping, there is a nice selection of affordable copper, silver, bronze, ceramic, and beaded jewelry. Lisa Knaus, a very well known local potter and instructor, has the best designed mugs that retain heat for a long time. She even makes some of her bowls and vases out of black Montauk sand! This gallery is a great place to pick up a house warming gift, a bridal shower gift, or a last minute birthday gift.Check out the monthly art show which typically features local painters. The Gallery is filled paintings and prints with a wide range of prices and eclectic styles. Well known local painter and instructor, George Knaus, has a permanent installation at this gallery. He has over-sized works that can fill a mansion or smaller works of warm and idyllic scenes that would complement smaller homes with less wall space.Oh, just one more thing…sisters Nisa and Rosa Knaus have artfully written and illustrated a few “small” books of their own. They are on display as you enter the building. So, just realized that the whole Knaus family has poured their heart into this little and cozy establishment. This is a place for one stop shopping, drinking, dining, and browsing. For me…it’s become “The Cheers of Highland”!When it gets nice out, I’m the one at the high top table with a drink catching some sun!

My friend Brendan and I had a lovely experience here today with nicely prepared food and wine and much hospitality from the owner, Sarah Knaus. The art is beautiful and sophisticated, and the pottery is pretty and whimsical. I bought two small, very modestly priced pieces that are a great addition to my collection.

Small but excellent place for a great glass of wine and good conversation! Delicious sandwiches and flatbreads available as well, made on site. My husband and I have been regulars here for several years. Nice area to eat outdoors, too.

I love this place. There is always something new to discover in the gallery and the food and wine is never short of amazing. Sarah knows her wine, so if you are open to suggestions, ask her for a recommendation. I love making a day of going over the Walkway Over the Hudson from Poughkeepsie to Highland, stopping at the Knaus Gallery and Wine Bar for a bit of sustenance, and then heading back. If you haven't been there yet, go. You will be welcomed and made to feel at home like you are an old friend.

What a delightful cafe! Great wine selection, delicious homemade soup, flatbread, salads, and hand-cut charcuterie. It's a really small operation and the owner is lovely. Highly recommend!

I adore this quaint little gallery. Sarah, the owner, is friendly and made me feel so welcomed the first time I visited. If you enjoy viewing local art and drinking great wine, this is the place to be. And don't forget the nibbles...Sarah makes an amazing charcuterie board along with other delightful offerings, both sweet and savory.
