“Came here on a weeknight to celebrate my birthday, and I cannot say enough amazing things about the whole experience. Our server, Li, was absolutely outstanding. She took such amazing care of us and acknowledged my birthday many times :). She was so sweet, professional, and pleasant. She made our night!! Our Chef, Jay, gave us an amazing performance and had us laughing the entire time! Delicious food & drinks. Awesome experience all around. Can’t wait to come back!“

“One of our favorite restaurants! The food is incredibly flavorful, and everyone from the owner to the greeter to the waiters are a pleasure to talk with, making the experience that much better. It can get a bit noisy, but the tables are spaced so you're not right on top of your neighbor. Suggestions- Apps- Malfatti, Polpette, Cauliflower Sformatino Main- Spinach & Roasted Garlic Risotto, Cherry Braised Short Ribs, Sunday Gravy, Braised Veal Cheek. Dessert- Beignets, Carrot Cake These are our favorites, but I've heard no complaints about any dishes.“

“The food was good, I ordered just a waffle and bacon recently, but unfortunately, the TV was tuned to Newsmax and I was told "it couldn't be changed". Now that I know the extreme political views of those in charge, I won't be spending any more of my money there. Nor will I recommend the Lakeside Diner any more. “The three of us went for a late breakfast. We were seated quickly. The place was about 40% full. We ordered food and then the lunch crowd arrived. Our server was very good and took our order with some special notes without fail. This is our fifth time eating here, and Giovanna did not fail on the food. Cheese steak sandwhich had Sautee onions and plenty of thinly sliced steak. It was delicious. We also had eggs over easy, which was done perfectly. The eggs had those fried little eggs of egg whites. Link sausage was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. Scramble eggs were light and tasty, sliced avocados on top were fresh and complemented the dish nicely. It also came with a fresh fruit cup. A complementary refresh on the coffee is a nice touch. The only downside is that when it's busy, the wait time is long. We have waited .45 mins for a table. Street parking only.“

“Came to Sander's to get some kosher baked goods for my coworkers. I really wanted to get some donuts, but it was too early in the morning, and they were still baking them. Ended up getting some rugelach that were fresh from the oven. The rugelach were a hit in the office. The staff really liked them. My coworker who was kosher really liked them too. A bunch of people just kept eating them throughout the day. The rugelach were delicious. The chocolate was good. The pastry wasn't too sweet. The vanilla ones were great too, but I really liked the chocolate ones the best. They have a dress code that they post in front of the store before you go in. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes, cover your knees, and shoulders. It shouldn't be a problem in the winter though. If you want some good baked goods, Sander's is a great option. If you're like me and wanting to pick up some kosher pastries, I would check which certification your friend/coworker accept as there are many they may or may not eat.“

“Taco Tuesday is real real tasty , I love the pork and the shrimp tacos. the burgers are delicious , they cook them just the way you like them , onion rings yum yum , Thursdays is prime rib night … cooked to perfection, different sides to choose from , I always get the baked potatoe and the salad it comes with … is real good also , ya gotta try it. “This place is conveniently located in downtown westwood. Its decently sized with a dining area and a bar area with more seating as well. My wife and I went for the specials as they were highly recommended by our waiter, and they did not disappoint. The ramp onion pasta had a nice garlic/onion taste to it in a blended sauce that was super flavorful. My wife tried the Gnudi special, which was essentially cheese filled gnocchi layered in breadcrumbs. Portion size was a bit small as an entree in my opinion though. The calamari, burratta, and drinks were great too!“

“If it’s brunch, lunch or dinner Just Janice is the perfect spot. Amazing staff and great food. Couple favorites are the pancakes for brunch, fish tacos for lunch and for dinner definitely penne vodka. Janice and Ali are so sweet and treat everyone like family!“

Ok, picked up the food, paid and again no, thank you. Called back to inform him they are under portioning soy sauce. Again, guy didn't even respond to my polite delivery of information, I wasn't upset or angry. I'll take my order with a side of courtesy next time please. Thank you.Previous: This is my go to sushi spot. Food is great. We love the rolls. Fish is always fresh and delicious. Salmon skin roll is really well done. We like the ponzu tuna app and dumplings. The sashimi dinner is a lot of fish. I actually don't order it bc I like my fish sliced thinner, they give big think slices which is a good value, but not my preference. Salad dressing is too oniony. Family makes me pickup at least once a week.“

“Toscana Pizza nestled between a bunch of high-quality restaurants surely can stand with the best of them. This establishment is run by the most welcoming, humble business owner (Billy) I have ever met. However, his food does all the talking as its always fresh and tasty. The pizza crust is perfectly crisp every time. The ratio of cheese to sauce is spot on. The toppings are high quality. The flavors complement each other in such that you can taste all the ingredients. The marinara sauce used for the other dishes has a nice balance and does not overwhelm the dish it is served with. The Sicilian slice is probably one of the best I have ever had. The grilled chicken pesto sandwich, and the grilled chicken broccoli rabe cooked to order is amazing. Also, one of my favorites is the eggplant as I can eat that every day, not too thick, not too thin. The bread is always crispy and fresh. After your meal, there is always a Thank You coming from the staff as you walk out with a smile on your face.“

“I have been a customer for a few years and I can honestly say the people I have encountered there are very friendly and warm. The service by the bartenders and waitresses is exemplary and timely. The food selection is always evolving with weekly specials and great prices. Their regular menu items are delicious and varied and prepared by a great cook and professional kitchen staff. We were seated promptly, quickly asked which type of water we would like and the sever was over within minutes for our cocktail order. We had some west coast oysters and a Greek meatball appetizer, which were properly spaced, followed by two fish entrees - it's a smooth operation here. The almond cake for dessert was also lovely. Having a wine locker is a awesome addition being able to have a variety of wines and spirits at my disposal is a great option for a frequent diner. The lobster bisque was rich and delicious and my ribeye was cooked to perfection along with my side of mash. A taste of port wine afterwards with some strudel made the rainy evening an afterthought. “This was my second time coming to the restaurant the first time I came for a dine and experience, which was awesome the second time it was a pick up order to go the day before Christmas Eve. My daughter was in town and we needed something to eat while we traveled for Christmas . I ordered the spring roll the wonton soup and the chili and basil fried rice. I really enjoyed their wonton soup. The broth has a lot of flavor in it and it's always consistently good. The fried rice has egg, bell pepper, chili, and fried onion in it. The restaurant on the inside is actually quite beautiful and has some great artwork on the wall. Just not the picture and added it here. I will definitely be back. This location is always packed for takeout as well as for dinner and I'd really enjoy their food.“

Didn't get to take any pictures, but it's basically a pub style with plenty of tables right on the main street in Pompton Lakes. We hadn't been in this area for a LONG time. We went around the corner and there was St Mary's church where we got married 41 years ago last week!!!“

“Like stepping back into the past. Place is warm and comfortable. Service is fast and friendly. Bar pies are the best. Super thin crust pizza and buffalo wings were delicious. There are Lionel trains in cases that are in amazing condition. Museum quality stuff! Very cool to take a look as your waiting to be seated or order a drink at the bar when your waiting for your to go order to finish up. All around great place. I have not really ordered anything else but buffalo wings and pizza, but so far it's the best wings and pies that I have had in a very long time.
