We sat by the windows with a view of the lake. Beautiful. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious and the presentation was very nice. The prices were what I expected to pay these days.

I was looking forward to my birthday dinner after my daughter's sterling review. The location is beautiful and there was a full moon rising from the lake. Unfortunately my meal did not live up to the location. The brie appetizer my daughter raved about was cold and not melted. When the waitress finally returned, she reheated, but it was too late. I ordered the house special crab cakes. The order arrived with cold risotto, out of a refrigerator cold, not just plated too soon. My husband had to start eating his meal while I waited for the waitress to return. He was almost done by the time I got my meal back. The crab was delicious, but the experience would discourage me from returning.

Long drive was well worth it. Beautifully tucked away right on the shore of Seneca Lake. Sat at a “bar” positioned right in front of window looking out at lake and could watch the moon rise over the lake. Beautiful. So peaceful. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend!

It was a nice dinner, but definitely over priced. I had the chicken breast with gravey and potatoes. My wife had the beef tenderloin. Her brussel sprouts came out cold, but that was quickly remedied. We had a window table which made it more enjoyable. It was too cold to eat out side. The dinning room as a whole is average. Like I said dinner was nice, but not worth the high sticker price.

Second visit, last years dinner was perfect! This years was total disappointment! Langoustine & Scallop Risotto-First hint was getting it in a bowl. I know why you presented like that- to hide the fact that there was probably (1) ONE Langoustine in the whole bowl cut-up, as for scallops? If there were any they were chopped up and blended in with the risotto. You should change the dish to-Risotto with a shrimp and scallop sauce. Major, Major disappointment for $45.00. As for your tiramisu I took it to go- another disappointment tasted like cake with cool whip. Best part of the dessert was the cookie. This restaurant is definitely OFF my list, and I won’t be back.

This was our group’s second visit with your establishment. Last year was amazing as to why we returned this year. Two of us ordered Steak at 55 dollars per plate and it was so heavily seasoned with pepper you couldn’t enjoy the steak. We ordered three dessert to go and two of them where supposed to be Tiramisu and was given the wrong dessert that ended up in the garbage. Very disappointed for the cost of our dinner.

Wow! Took my expectations and crushed them. The food was impeccable. Delicious in every way. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was top notch. I couldn't recommend it more. I just wished i had saved room for dessert. Next time!

Well-made food, and excellent service. We were a party of six, who enjoyed the crab bisque (which was more a stew than a bisque, but was nonetheless excellent), crab cakes, red stag venison, beef tenderloin, steelhead trout, and gnocci, along with the crepe, and the brownies and ice cream for dessert. All were well prepared and enjoyable. If we had any complaint, it would be that most of the servings, with the exception of the gnocci, were a little on the small side. However, they were still within an acceptable size range for a fine-dining establishment.

Overall a good experience. On the positive side, it was a 30 second walk from our rooms at Plum Point and the menu choices were diverse enough to satisfy all 6 diners. The service was well paced and not rushed. The cocktails were lovely and the wine selection was nice. The portion sizes were just enough and there was certainly room for dessert after a salad and entrees. On the down side, one of our party asked for a medium rare filet that was brought to the table medium well. It took a while to correct this and all other diners were finished eating. The "shareable" sides were very small ramikin (about 3 inches) dishes that were not generous in size but tasty. The risotto needed more seasoning but overall the plates was elegantly presented. We had a nice evening.

Service was excellent and the salad was a fresh and bright and delicious. Scallops cooked perfectly. On the "room for improvement" comments: skip the rissoto (batch-cooked and unsalted) for mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked to the exact temperature but it was flavored with the cooking fuel. Don't know what happened there. Desert special was 'pumpkin napolean' with each component contributing to an unmatched texture and it had no flavor... as if no one bothered to taste it. Also, when ordering a cup of coffee at the end of a 'fancy meal', I really like a good cup and this was not. All in all, very pricey for an ok meal.

Dined here on the recommendation of one of our wine tasting servers and it was delightful. Beautiful setting with a lovely view of the lake and delicious farm to table meal. The soup, a red pepper creamy soup was delicious. My husband had the grilled shrimp dish which was delicious. I had the crab cakes with Parmesan risotto, which had delicious flavor but a slightly weird texture for lump crabmeat crab cakes. Overall the meal was very good. The Bees Knees cocktail was a delightful tastebud experience.

Great place to dine! We have dined there 2x during our stay in the Finger Lakes, and both meals were excellent. Food is excellent, service is very good, and a view of Seneca Lake while dining is a very welcome treat. You can't go wrong eating at Sapalta!

Great food and great atmosphere! My wife and I sat outside for our dinner. Carla, our waitress was great! very helpful and made sure that we were taken care of with our dinner. Top quality food and the location is along the lake. We will go back!
