This diner is a little bit off the main highways and thoroughfares of the central Long Island environs but it’s worth the detour to get to it. Somewhat compact. Excellent service, very friendly staff, and, while we found our two egg breakfasts to be standard diner fare, it arrived hot, fresh and with alacrity. We did want to make special mention of the home fries - we found ‘em a cut above. The vibe’s good here - just plain cozy and relaxed. Piping hot mugs of good coffee...

Today was my mom’s birthday. I searched Google for diners in Long Island. The Holbrook Diner stood out to me and I’m so glad I chose to celebrate there with 8 other family members. From the time we walked in the door they quickly accommodated my family and I. The staff was so friendly, kind, and attentive. That’s what we all want when eating out especially a place we’ve never been before. We wanted mom to have great food and service. She got that and more. She was so happy...
