We were there recently for my husband's birthday dinner. Saying the food is incredible is an understatement. This restaurant is on a whole other level of dining.
Service was amazing, the atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming, staff were attentive and it was easy to tell they're passionate about their food they put out.
We will be returning for brunch ASAP, and Bistro 42 will become our new go-to date night spot.
Amazing food and service! We have been talking about this place for quite some time. We do dinner every Friday night with another couple and finally decided to make a reservation. Right away we were pleased. Clean, friendly and warm environment. Full bar, appetizers, entrees and desert were fantastic. Best meal in the capital district by far. We will be back! Cant believe we waited so long to get this place in our radar.
This place is a little local treasure. Every time I visit the area Bistro 42 is my favorite n dinner spot. I used to go into Vermont to dine at some of their famous Inn’s. But Bistro is actually better food, better priced and not in the least pretentious. The owner always greets us warmly. Troy has always been our server and he is so helpful. Put this restaurant on your must visit list. Pro tip: ask to be seated in the rear of the restaurant and you’ll be overlooking a charming...
