OK. I have lived in Hudson for 5 years now. Every one says this place is great. I think it's fine. Sort of pricy.

My girlfriend and I came here on our weekend trip to Hudson after reading reviews raving about the Cuban sandwich. The restaurant is quite intimate due to its size but the staff are very kind and friendly. We got the Cuban Sandwich and the Bahn Mi to share. The Cuban Sandwich was incredible! I almost wish I got one more to go on the trip back to NYC. Both sandwiches were very flavorful and the drink options are plentiful. They even have Mexican Coca Cola (the one with real sugar) on stock, which was surprising for a place in upstate NY. Definitely recommend this place.

Bruno's is well known for its flavorful sandwiches – everything is made fresh to order, using local farm produce. Yesterday we tried the flourless chocolate cookies and they were great! The adorable shabby chic interior where the available fresh groceries are on display, has an authentic "Hudson feel". On top of all that, Bruno's is one of the most pet friendly businesses!

Loooove this place. My partner and I just discovered it over the weekend and I have to say ... it was sort of a revelation. We were driving up from Brooklyn, on our way to Troy, and decided to stop in Hudson for a quick bite. That's our thing - checking out new and interesting places in the Hudson Valley to feed our "One Day" fantasy of living up there. Anyway, walking down Warren St, we avoided other, more conspicuously hip places and just happened into Brunos. On first blush, it definitely is quirky. But I started noticing the things they had in their fridge - beautiful vegetables, sauces and meats - and was intrigued. The other thing that hit me was the vibe. People came in and out and chewed the fat with the two ladies working there. Both of whom were really friendly and cool (with a sweet dash of kooky). Definitely felt like a neighborhood place that inspires loyalty. On to the food - which is FAR AND AWAY the star. I casually ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of their slaw. Holy cow!! It was one of the BEST SANDWICHES EVER. So savory and flavorful with melt in your mouth ham. And the slaw was purple and creamy with a hint of apple to it (I believe). Just beyond yummy. So was the potato salad. Overall, everything we had was just delicious. These people clearly know food. OK, I'm being long-winded. Just take my word! Avoid the pretentious mediocre cafes. Come here!! It's awesome!!!

Great food and the staff has always been polite but definitely call you order in because it takes FOREVER. Definitely not a place to grab a quick bite during work, but nice if you have 45-50 minutes to chill and eat outside.

Stopped in recently while travelling based on local's recommendation. Wasn't disappointed. We go great sandwiches to go.

A hidden gem! We ordered a Cuban sandwich, tofu banh mi, cheeseburgers, and fries. All were excellent. The cheeseburger and fries were not to the children's liking (complaints that the fries were too crispy and burger tasted like ketchup was mixed into meat), but the adults thought they were perfect. The service was friendly and food was delivered to our table by the most adorable little boy.

The best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. They even expedited my order because I had a train to catch! I'll be back before my next trip home to NYC.

Local’s, farm fresh, unique, dog friendly, best playlist in town, dialed in ... queer & quirky.

This place is absolutely terrible. I placed an order for two sandwiches 45 min in advance for my train ride, I get there 30 min later and wait another 10-15 minutes for them to tell me my order won't be ready in time and I almost missed my train. Tell me how in the world it takes 45+ minutes to make two sandwiches at a sandwich shop....u had one job...I'm starving and now embarking on a 2+ hr journey with no food.
