As a number of reviewers have noted: great vibes, below average food, unreasonably high prices for the quality of food. My take — Great atmosphere. Cool, chill vibe. Good music at a good volume. Def fun spot. Very friendly staff, but service is slow. Clearly understaffed. Orders take far too long. Or they come out in seconds suggesting premade pre chilled oxidized food. Food is hit and miss. Plantains are solid. Decent crust, flavorful. Sauce was limpid. Mussels are ok. Sauce is good but mussels lack flavor. Olive cake was average, seemed to be premade a while ago, and whipped cream was canned.
Overall worth a try, maybe; but the prices…Manhattan-level prices for Hudson Valley?!?! Really? Not any where near NYC cuisine. Not even close.
Best part: Spike is great.

Nice vibes, sure. But the food was mediocre at best and overpriced. The tamal and empanada lacked flavor. The “aguachile” shrimp was nothing like an aguachile dish (which is fine just don’t call it that) and also lacked flavor. The chicken mole dish was the best one but at over $30 for two pieces of chicken, and long wait, it wasn’t worth it. The wait for food was incredibly long. It was fun to watch naked men dance outdoors while getting soaked in water on tv for 30 minutes but after an hour it got boring.

We were excited based on reviews. The restaurant is relatively cute. The drink menu is really limited, and the bartender was very disinterested in any sort of off or regular menu drinks. The bar, seemingly, was very limited in liquor options. The menu was interesting, however the actual food was not impressive. We ordered the empanada, which was very cumin heavy. We had the mushroom tostada, which was very lacking in mushrooms. I mentioned that the potato pancake was mushy and lacking in flavor, and received the equivalent of a shoulder shrug. Just overall an exceedingly disappointing experience.

This is a winner on all counts! Julia our server was a hoot, and the food was outta this world. It's such a treat when all the great word of mouth is worth the, uh, great word of mouth. (Yes, we had the full fried fish, and not just because of the alliteration.)

The food was delicious, if pricey. Our server was chilly and mostly ignored us, so we ended up having to ask other staff to track down our drinks, get to-go boxes, etc. The vibe was really weird- maybe because we were middle aged and unhip?

To me it was costly and you had to order so much food just to have a meal. It was crazy to me...

Oasis was an absolutely incredible experience all the way around. Our service was swift, and the atmosphere in and around the establishment is relaxed and inviting. Our food was impeccable! The drinks…incredible! The chef and staff were so pleasant and we are bringing more of our friends next time we visit…and will try the deserts next time too. If you’re looking for a restaurant that has values for a liberated world and delicious food this is the place for you!
