We had a table for 6 for dinner. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had the chips and dip (so good!) and wings for appetizers. The mains were excellent (spicy fried chicken sandwich was delicious) and the portions were very generous. Would definitely go back for dinner. If you're in the area give it a try for sure.

Recently went for a paint and sip. Had a great time. I laughed with fellow painters and left with a great painting. The staff was very attentive from Stephanie at the bar, to Jimmy in the kitchen. My cheese board was on point. Can't wait until the next one.

My husband and I came here for dinner as it was near where we were staying. There were hardly any reviews with photos, so I am here to pay it forward! We both ordered the grilled cheese with crispy bacon, which came with pickles and chips. It was great! Service was quick and friendly! Minus one star bc the menu is pretty limited and the vibe isn’t anything super special compared to the other places we have dined at in the Catskills. Would still come back here, though!

Straight up raw chicken in the kids chicken tenders order I had. The waiter and manager were apologetic and took off the cost the item and gave our table a 10% discount. But then, when they brought the check, they had double charged us on another item. Just sloppy and/or careless. It was unintentional I think/hope but come on people!! And to tell me that the reason is because you have a new chicken tenders recipe and the cook is getting used to it!? To cook a trained professional? I'm not sure what's going on there, but something seems seriously off. I did bite into it so I'm hoping to God that I don't have any issues with food poisoning or salmonella going forward. If you've watched Kitchen Nightmares, I can only imagine what Gordon Ramsay would have said. I think he might have been a bit more confrontational and visibly upset. And rightfully so. We're all human and mistakes happen but, you're talking about people's health and well being. I don't normally like to leave reviews that are so negative but I'm genuinely concerned for other people and somebody's got to say something if you're not using best practices.

Hunter board was stale. Service was horrible. Sat down first wast last to be served at bar. Hunter board everything was stale. Don't get beer option to room sent 2 year old cans to room. Can't complain about wine option was good. Just overall not good .

We stopped into Hunter Tavern on a whim and had an incredible experience. Peter, who was tending the bar, welcomed us in and quickly served up delicious drinks. His partner, Joshua, who is also the chef, took the time to chat with us, making us feel right at home. They prepared a fantastic meal—a juicy chicken sandwich and an amazing burger with fresh, homemade chips on the side. But the real surprise came at the end of the night. They remembered it was my birthday and brought out a piping hot brownie, singing to me! It was such a sweet and unexpected touch that made the night even more special. The hospitality, the food, and the personal touch made it a truly lovely experience. I highly recommend stopping by for great service and delicious food!
