First time ever there and- what a pleasant surprise! We saw the menu online and we're intrigued by the German specialties such as sauerbraten and schnitzel. The baked brie appetizer with lingonberry jam and candied walnuts was absolutely scrumptious! We also enjoyed a wurst platter with homemade sauerkraut, sprouted greens and toasted juniper berries- wow! Flatbread pizza with German cheese and caramelized onions, potato cheddar soup, crusty bread, juicy burgers and an extensive imported beer and wine list made this a meal to remember! Truly an Alpine experience! Cordelia was happy to share stories about diverse topics including local history, ingredients on menu items and even Winnie the Pooh! Don't miss the fun, right across the street from Hunter Ski Mountain ...

The Resy reservation seemed very strict (more than 5 minutes late they charge you $5 per person) so we took a chance to walk in without one and we were able to immediately sit. This was around 7pm on a Saturday.

I ordered the beer flight, which was amazing, then the pretzel, raclette, and bacon onion pizza “Flammkuchen”. The pretzel was great with a mustard in the side. The raclette was delicious; the cheese was so good, the potatoes cooked to perfection, and the sides of bread, pickles, and lightly tossed salad with vinaigrette was a nice touch. I wasn’t a huge fan of the bacon onion pizza; it smelled amazing but it was a bit too sweet for me. My husband loved it.

Super cute place! The charcuterie board was good, definitely recommend. The meal can get pretty expensive if you don’t be careful though, it ended up being $115 for two without tip.

Stopped in for a beer and it turned out to be one of the best parts of our weekend. The owner, Cordelia, is wonderful and engaging - clearly loves what she does. Great German beer selection, served in authentic glasses. It has a wine bar vibe on main floor and beer hall vibe upstairs. Highly recommend if you’re in the area - we will definitely be back. 🤩

My wife and I had the pleasure of hosting our family and friends at Jagerberg for our rehearsal dinner. We could not thank owner Cordelia and chef Christie enough for making our wedding weekend even more special. They did a deep dive with us on the menu, taking into account not only our preferences, but what would be locally available and in season come the big day. We had some friends who do not drink, and they raved how delicious the mocktails were, and that there were multiple options.

Jagerberg has been locked in for dinner in all our trips upstate, specifically for the Flammkuchen. We could not picture having our rehearsal dinner anywhere else, highly recommend them to all 10/10

Visited during Octoberfest which included a special menu and live music.
Great food and service. Plenty of room inside and outside with a great view of a Hunter mountain. Pretty specious parking as well.
A soft pretzel is a must.

This is a great spot. All of the food I had was really good. The portions were really large.

The service was great. They offered different options of when we want the food to be out. They even offered to split the food for us.

I didn't expect such a great place to eat in a small town like Hunter. It was a welcome surprise.

Enjoyed a scrumptious dinner for my wife and niece's birthday. Started off with a Burrata salad which comes with fresh mozzarella and cubed watermelon with arugula and Beet salad, also with arugula. We enjoyed their signature Chicken Jaeger and Fish and Chips. Their menu of local and exotic wine, beer and mocktails offer a nice selection for individual tastes. Cordelia, Jagerberg's dynamic owner, Jonathan, chef extraordinaire, Michelle and team made us feel so welcome. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend for a wonderful and fulfilling dining experience!
